Wow, it's like a Silky Johnson convention in this thread!

I get that folks might not love his movies (though I disagree wholeheartedly) but how in the world could anyone say an animated, adult movie about food learning it gets eaten once out of the supermarket isn't creative?  That just doesn't even make sense.  It's like saying that Beilein is the master of strong interior post play or that Harbaugh should get on Twitter.

People saying things like this always brings me back to "Altered States", which was in fact inspired by a researcher's sensory deprivation experiments, many of which were conducted under the influence of psychoactive drugs. If you want to see a movie that is basically on acid because that's exactly what the film is about on many levels, I would go with that 1980 classic.

I don't know of many other actors that are as polarizing as Rogen. Personally, I like most of the stuff he does. Sometimes a little crude immature humor is necessary in my opinion. Expectations need to be adjusted going into his movies. If you're expecting to hear anything less than 200 f-bombs and academy award winning stuff, you will be sorely let down. I'm just hoping he doesn't go the way of Adam Sandler and make clunker after clunker as he gets older.

Not a big fan. His humor isn't sharp. You telegraph the jokes a mile away and when they get there they're not creative. I'm not a comedic snob either. I can watch Beavis and Butthead today and laugh my ass off. I just don't think he's that good. I remember watching "This is th End" and it felt to me like he and his buddies all get together and just decided to act stupid while filming each other. It felt like there was no script. Like they were making it up as they went along.

Looks like enough material for a good 10 minute YouTube vid that they've spun out into a 90 minute feature thanks to copious amounts of marijuana.

Incredible how polarizing one guy is. Love seeing everyone's reactions, all warranted and all justified. Totally respect all the differing opinions, thanks for sharing.

I imagine tons of ignorant (IMHO) parents will take their 5-10 year olds to this, which would be a shame. Every since I became a Dad that kind of stuff bothers me, bgut to each his own I suppose

So..... He just took the annoying orange movies from YouTube and made it into a movie because he had the capital to do so?

Unoriginal AND a theif.

That said, I still think it looks funny and will most likely download it.
