Although I'm personally a MUCH bigger fan of her looks (lady is fierce) than her music, there's nothing wrong with liking Beyonce.  However, Coach K is such a fucking phony that I'm almost certain that answer was tested by a corporate focus group to see what would appeal most to recruits.

But I'm glad to see our coach has fine taste in music, I got to give it up for him.  And it ain't that peculiar for someone of his generation to dig one of the finest R & B singers ever.  Has the Daily ever asked him about this though? Let's get it on record that Coach B digs Marvin instead of a thirdhand mention that we heard through the grapevine.

I think it would have been awesome if a few coaches had picked something totally insane and offensive, like "Butthole Surfers" or "Dead Kennedys" or "Justin Bieber"

The voting idea is flat out pure genius. Gone are the threads (i'll admit) I and many others complain about that ourselves and others did not deserve a down vote or two. Also I was obsessed with the people who constantly down voted WD It did not matter if he broke fhe news of Rashan Gary coming to UM. He was going to get down voted, I am sure that continues but at least we don't have to look at it. Don't get me wrong I am not worried about WD's feelings or numbers but I am concerned about the person who can't stop giving him the down votes its just not healthy.

I really wondered if it was possible to address these issues without ending voting all together. I am not going to go through all the reasons this should continue but suffice it to say I am in the new way of voting camp. Oh I should add I am just another Mgoblog lover (nobody important) who's vote means nothing more than anyone else's thumbs up, Oh and you may give the person who thought of this a free lunch because nobody gives out raises any more. Unless he is CEO because they are in charge of who gets them. You would too. and as always Go Blue!

I kind of chuckled about how you have Bill Carmody and Bach sitting right between The Rolling Stones and Maze / Frankie Beverly. Also, a fair amount of Earth, Wind & Fire and Chicago love among the brackets too. Very interesting tidbits of information about these guys indeed.

This is the "Detroit Mix" that Barry Gordy rejected (justifiably)... and had it remixed in LA which is what we hear on the radio:

Detroit mix is more percussive with too much verb but here it its above... "Sista" those are the Lions of 1970 The incomparable James Jamerson holding down the bass.

Marvin taught me how to sing.  Singing along with the Whats Going On album trained my voice.

In a recent interview with Sam Webb on TKA, Jim Hackett said that he is a big R&B fan and loved Sly and the Family Stone.
