Basketball

Woof. Defense: what? Walton's two point shooting: what? I mean, let's not go overboard into fire everybody here but all of a sudden this is a crossroads kind of situation.

Ace's Hockey Podcast

starts at 19:31

I loooove playing at Minnesota. Do not love goals outside the blue line so much. Do love the CCM line lots, plus New and Not Insane Michael Downing. Michigan has more or less secured a bid, so that's nice.

Gimmicky Top Five: Surprising Baby Things

starts at 34:07

No, YOU stick to sports. Ace and I list the top five or six most surprising things about extremely young babies. Ace does not have the benefit of actually having an extremely young baby, but has something like common sense ever stopped us? Absolutely not.

Spring Football Stuff

The Gentry move and the implications thereof. Khalid Hill as Phillip Lutzenkirchen. Jabrill Peppers, SAM linebacker? It could happen.

Normal and hilarious. There's nothing like having your sleeping baby fire one off in the middle of serious conversation, or church, or foreplay.

The body can heal in wonderous and mysterious ways.  Should be simple plumbing, but don't ask me how I know.

Also it is weird that somehow vasetomies change the body's chemistry.  Often times babies after vasectomy don't look anything like you and resemble the neighbor.

Put the new diaper under the old diaper. Then after you're done wiping the baby up, you remove the old diaper and the new diaper is already there to catch anything. No race against time.

It only happens early on -- solid food and growing children cut the muzzle velocity down to something less alarming. A highlight of my daughter's infancy was a ten-foot shot (aided by the height of the changing table) that hit both the white carpet and the keyboard of a laptop. Thankfully the laptop was from my wife's work and was otherwise undamaged.

This led to a move of the changing table into a bathroom, where I discovered some residue beneath an outlet cover when painting the room a few years later.

#2. Babies lose weight in the first week until they figure out how to digest food. That freaked me out. WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY BABY IS SHRINKING!!! HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE GROWING!!!

#1. How brutal circumcision is. My wife told me that taking care of that (dressing and bandaging until it healed) after the snipping was my job. How did that ever become a thing?!? If I had any idea, I would have skipped that family tradition.

Enjoy liquid poops while they exist. As soon as they get solid food in them, babies take on a whole new level of diaper terror. / guy with 2 year old and a baby on the way

that was not a good podcast.  And yes I have a 10 year old son so I've been through this stage.
