Caris possibly being "shut down" for the year.....per Beilein.

Head coach admits there was another "setback" and Caris may be done. 3 years in a row of losing a top player(s). Damn.

That's what happened basically. It's one thing to report something like this, but the OP did so in a less than tactful manner and then proceed to be less than tactful to the board when called out by others. We do try to run a clean place....well, reasonably sanitary.....enough to pass a health department exam at the very least.

Michigan's hopes of making the tournament/doing well in the tournament are steadily going down.

This news is also bad for Caris, but good luck to him, hopefully he will do well in the NBA.

we DIDN'T have everyone back from last year.

The loss of Spike hurt us a lot more than his stats would indicate.  He was the heart and soul of this team with his hustle and attitude and is sorely missed for those reasons alone, not to mention his ability to hit bunches of 3's when in the flow of the offense.

The loss of Caris hit us right at the start of the B1G season, and even though we played over it at times, his absense really hurt when Duncan went cold in the 2nd half of the conference season.

Lastly, we miss those glorious calves of Max Bielfelt.  Seriously, though, I thought last season he brought senior leadership and some mental and physical toughness inside.  I don't see any of that level of inside toughness on this team this season.

Unfortunately this may end his chances of playing in the nba. He's going to have to prove himself in the D-league. Going back to the start of 2014 season we all would have though Michigan would have 3-4 nba starters by 2016-17. Now most of that group is just fighting for bench spots.

I feel bad for JB.  Between early entries, recruiting whiffs, and injuries, he's had to play a lot of weird guys.

I'll repost this from earlier:  Good Lord what did Caris do to his damn leg?  It looked like a simple ankle roll, and now we're at a collegiate career ending injury?!  Seriously?

*Not a shot at Caris, just a real curiosity as to what happened.

Michigans rotation is so short now. 7 guys, with Irvin and Walton playing so many minutes. There have been big injuries, Spike and Caris. What a tough season.

I said it before I'll say it again, of course he's out for the year. Do you know how many Boo Boos or working through some things we have heard the past 3 or 4 years that were actually season ending injuries the list is just.... long and unfair. Mostly basketball and football, you know the major revenue sports. Not just the players that are easily replaced it's the guys who are major contributors or arguably the best players the teams have had since the 90's.

So its absolutely no suprise to me whatsoever, I am beginning to expect it. If Rashan Gary goes down to a season ending injury, first I will not be suprised then I will believe there is some sort of curse put on UM sports, A powerful one at that, and then I will be very suprised if Wojo or Angelique don't come out with a article going back over the past five years of season ending injuries.

Names like Pipkins, Peppers, Glasgow, Caris and another name escapes me but he was the starting Center on the BB team with a back injury that ended his season and college career. Injuries on other teams? Oh he'll be back for Michigan and when he does he has the game of his career. I may be bias but I am not far off.
