Don't forget about the hirings of recruiting staffers and defensive analysts.

February 19th, 2016 at 12:04 PM ^
It may hit 60 in Iowa today, but we do have some really strong wind gusts (thanks to so much farmland, no natural wind breaks in most of the state)
February 19th, 2016 at 8:36 AM ^
it has been a full day since we hired a top recruit's parent or guardian. This is simply too long. We have the 2018 class to think about here. This staff is slacking.
February 19th, 2016 at 6:06 AM ^
So I won't get fined. Bang me.

February 19th, 2016 at 7:05 AM ^
5 youngest?! Good Christ, you don't need a banging, you need an intervention. Good luck with the kids!
February 19th, 2016 at 8:10 AM ^
It ain't babysitting if they're your kids. Don't you that word around mama!

to Quiverfull for his deleted lifestory interview thread from last night (which was bounced just before I finished my response).
February 19th, 2016 at 9:48 AM ^
about that, saying in essence that they wanted to handle it some different way, but with no further details. i was wondering if the thread had somehow turned snarkey after bed time or something.
i did enjoy reading about grendel, what a champ. hopefully we'll get a system together to do others.
February 19th, 2016 at 11:02 AM ^
I was wondering what happened to that thread. I stepped away for awhile then came back to the blog to check that thread and couldn't find it. I wasn't sure what happened.

without a helmet and in the booth. He's "old". Tony's last year, too.
Carl Edwards spoke at our sales kick-off meeting last month. I got to chat with him a little after lunch. Very nice guy and a great sense of humor. He was dirt poor and climbed his way up in the racing world. With Jeff gone, he's my new favorite,

I am actually enjoying Gordon on the broadcast.... I was definitely burnt-out on him as a driver after the season-long farewell last year.
I'm predicting this year will see continuance of the Gibbs domination that started halfway through last year.
February 19th, 2016 at 12:22 PM ^
IMG Camp and then on to MLB Spring Training games.
Please don't report us to the SEC...

Stayed up late watching Cinderella Man & No Country for Old Men. Two good ones , albeit older. Obviously not a big movie watcher, too much sports. So I'm going to be slow today.
Bang me!

South Sydney Rabbitohs for the win!
February 19th, 2016 at 9:26 AM ^
No Country for Old Men is overrated. I have watched it several times, it is periodically captivating but I think the Coen brothers kind of took some essential themes from the book and either cut them entirely or altered them to the extent that the movie does not know what it is about. Tommy Lee Jones was also criminally underutilized in what could have been an epic role. I would have preferred a more seasoned, conventional director (i.e. Eastwood probably) for that particular material.
There Will Be Blood was the best picture that year and no damn Academy is going to tell me otherwise.
