Drew Sharp can suck a big one.
Seriously. Screw him. He's talking about a 17 year old kid.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:21 PM ^
This is his video from his youtube page.
BTW, comments are enabled if you feel like doing a Rosenburg book review type message.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
They're grilling him about a kid who made a mistake when he was 16, but nothing about Michigan State letting an actual convicted felon (Winston) back on their team?
Weak Sauce.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:22 PM ^
F*** You Drew Sharp you should not judge a 16 year old.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:25 PM ^
I like the part where Sharp explains how big time football recruits are "choking on their own egos."
Pot, meet kettle.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:46 PM ^
My favorite part was when he told fans to pull their heads out of their back pockets, or whatever.
So many pot-meet-kettle moments in such a short podcast.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:25 PM ^
I immediately thought..."nothing new here"
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
Can't even pronounce "Feagin".
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:29 PM ^
I'm not even going to bother listening. Why waste brain cells on that worthless piece of shit?
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
He compared Demar to OJ. As much as I dislike OSU and their players, I would never wish anything bad happen to them (career ending injuries and what not). I can't say I feel the same way towards Sharp.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:30 PM ^
....Makes me want to crush skulls.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
tune in to WTKA tomorrow to hear me tear him a new asshole. seriously. I transcribed the motherfucker.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
That was terrible and I want to see you [Brian] destroy him. So, do you know what time you'll be on?
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
What time are you going to be on WTKA? I very much want to hear this.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:54 PM ^
The podcast is always up by mid-afternoon.

February 3rd, 2010 at 11:38 PM ^
What time are you on tomorrow?
Also, make sure to go on a Dave Birkett rant for at least 5 minutes. Its time for us to get angry and stop this bullshit from happening.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:42 AM ^
9 am EST
February 4th, 2010 at 2:12 AM ^
I am now setting my alarm.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:45 PM ^
Drew told me that I shouldn't get my news from "little bloggers." I'm gonna start reading news stories by guys who hate their readers
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Cannot wait.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Time?
I know that Tim was absolutely foaming at the mouth furious earlier.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Any way you can embed it after the fact, so those that can't listen in the late afternoon can catch it later?
I eagerly anticipate this pantsing.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:00 AM ^
WTKA puts everything up as Podcasts on their website. Sometimes it's the only way I get through the work day.
February 4th, 2010 at 10:43 AM ^
I finagled a way to hear the podcast. That was some weapons-grade fisking, right there.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
This guy is an absolute clown. The kid got acquitted. This usually means there is little to no evidence he committed the crime. He is a 16 year old. So, what you are saying Drew, is that a 16 year old kid making a mistake shouldn't get a chance to get a college education. Shit, if that was the case, I'd not have made it to AA.
Serious clown. Doesn't deserve to speak a word of any substance on Demar. While he may be a risk, he deserves a chance.
Shutup, Sharp.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
Hypothetically if Dorsey signed with state instead, would sharp be saying anything like this?
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:41 PM ^
as a reporter, they have to ask RR that question or they're doing a shitty job. They have to when we had a Feagin dismissed for drug-related charges and you're doing a story about a stud athlete with a potentially checkered past.
That being said, one of the big issues with this is that he keeps saying he was acquitted. From what I've been reading, he was not acquitted; the charges were dropped.
A good reporter would ask that question to RR, but a good reporter would also find out what the hell the charges were for themselves before questioning the coach about it.
Douche
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:43 PM ^
The problem is with him going on a rant about how if this kid wasn't good at football he wouldn't have been acquitted of this crime that he's somehow almost certainly guilty of.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:59 PM ^
Armed robbery went to trial and Dorsey was acquitted.
Burglary of a vacant residence was dismissed.
February 4th, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
The point is Sharp keeps trying to find his inner-Woodward and Bernstein. The only problem is well, you know they did their homework. Also, I kind of agree with the sentiment that the press conference wasn't the time for those questions.
Let's not name call. Kiss your mother with that mouth?
February 4th, 2010 at 12:17 AM ^
I do kiss my mother with this mouth. That certainly won't keep me from wishing a "Pit and the Pendulum" type situation on Drew "Wikipedia" Sharp. Dave Birkett is finished also.
February 4th, 2010 at 12:27 AM ^
Oh no they are perfectly acceptable targets, I thought PDX was name calling a fellow poster. My bad man.
Is it too much to pull a Tonya Harding on Sharp and Birkett?
February 4th, 2010 at 2:25 PM ^
I love Mgobloggers (though I don't know if I'd kiss any of them on the mouth).
February 4th, 2010 at 4:05 AM ^
Hey, don't insult Wikipedia like that.
February 4th, 2010 at 12:35 AM ^
Quite frankly I don't give a crap what you've "been reading", what you've "been reading" is wrong. Check the damn court records for Broward County. They're easily available online. Florida has some of the best public records laws in the country. USE THE TOOLS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU AND STOP RELYING ON OTHER PEOPLE'S SHITTY WORK.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:54 AM ^
That's the cure to a lot of this
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
that has life saving heart surgery as a child then let's himself become a total fat ass has no room to talk about anyone. Also could you please change the title of this thread to drew sharpton can eat a fat one. I only recognize him by this name.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
What a C-Sucker. The negativity and his rant is unbelievable. Where the f did that non-sense even come from?
The whole "doesn't know who his daughter is dating?" meme was way over the top. In addition, way to condemn the whole Florida legal system as well as Rodriguez who "didn't give a true answer."
How are these not libelous statements that he is not being sued or fired for (like last time.)
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:39 PM ^
Also, FYI Drew, those guys who pay attention to signing day (and supposedly have children who can't keep a thought for more than 5 seconds...?) are the ones reading your shit and paying your bills.
He does realize he's reporting on signing day right? "OMW Signing Day sucks! Listen to me talk about signing day on signing day! OMW this sucks so bad! I hate this!"
February 4th, 2010 at 12:20 AM ^
I bet Dorsey could actually file a credible lawsuit for this. I don't believe the court would consider him a public figure yet.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:30 AM ^
Google trends says differently.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:35 AM ^
I'd be pretty confident that he is a public figure, but I'm not so sure it matters if he is or not based on what Sharp actually said.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:48 AM ^
he would have to prove that Sharp made a knowledgeably false and damaging remark. Sharp spoke to the idea of repeat offense, not to the explicit morality of the individual. While he may have remarked he is incredulous as to the legitimacy of a 'fair trial' for a prep athlete, this is not court-worthy material. He would have had to say explicitly graphic accusations for this to be a 'credible lawsuit.'
Legal knowledge ftw
and why the hell did you claim you bet he would have a credible filing? law student? lawyer? etc?
February 4th, 2010 at 1:59 AM ^
Lawyered
February 4th, 2010 at 2:37 AM ^
BOOM Lawyer'd
February 4th, 2010 at 3:37 PM ^
"he would have to prove that Sharp made a knowledgeably false and damaging remark."
Why does almost everyone almost always forget that the standard for actual malice is knowingly false (as you said) OR made with reckless disregard for the truth?
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:38 PM ^
Props to UMich student 2012, letter writer number 1. Calling it like he sees it.
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:43 PM ^
From listening to that I gather that Drew Sharp loves to hear Drew Sharp talk. Drew Sharp.
February 4th, 2010 at 1:20 AM ^
...twice like that, for some reason I hear "Matt Damon".
February 3rd, 2010 at 11:44 PM ^
I just finished listening to this, and I'm wondering what they said afterward the commercial. Where does Drew "draw the line"? Did anybody hear what he said after that? It was obviously getting heated and he might've said even more completely baseless and stupid things.
