Jourdan Lewis and Michael Thomas Won't Be Exchanging Christmas Cards
Fun little spat on twitter last night that began when David Long was talking about routes Braxton Miller ran in the Senior Bowl practices. Lewis chimed in on what OSU runs in an actual game. Thomas took affront. Lewis went off. Stuff got deleted quickly. Power of internet kept some of it alive despite being deleted.
Funny to see Lewis go off on Thomas in video - his public face is so calm and collected.
Also - we really need to begin winning this game again damnit.

Lewis needs to remember they don't go there to play school but to play football. Therefore, they can't spell compliment let alone know what it means. Remember, you don't get in a puking contest with a buzzard!

It was to be a joke on the fact Cardale Jones said a couple of years ago that school wasn't important. Sorry, sarcasm got lost in translation.

play football they do, very, very, well. As that 42-13 score proves. Keep in mind that Football is the only reason any of us are here. And at that OSU has dominated UM since our players were in elementary school.

Definitely not a troll.

Hey Truthbtold, what do you think about Michigan? And also nice mustache.

The score of 'The Game' is not necesarily relatated to the original tweet. It may provide some context? However, Michael Thomas was not necesarily one of the reasons why the score was at is was. I think MT is talented yet if backed into a corner with a gun at my head I would bet on JL to dominate a matchup between the two.

kinda cool to see lewis already following long and developing a mentorship even before long is on campus!!!
January 29th, 2016 at 7:05 AM ^
Even cooler that Long is taking it upon himself to study tape of the senior bowl DBs vs WRs.
January 29th, 2016 at 8:43 AM ^
Can't lose sight that Lewis is bought into and supporting a soon to be commit, and Long is staying on top of his game studying it before he gets on campus. Isn't he in Italy?
I am already "jonesing" for the 2016 season to start!

Yeah, Braxton looks real nice slipping all over the place in and out of his breaks, running those sloppy routes. He also has a very difficult time locating, tracking and catching the ball.
What he's got going for him now is some size and good speed, so he'd better learn how to play the position quick because his shoulder is shot (not that he ever had a cannon to begin with).
I don't wish ill will on him but I strongly think he'll be a bust.
2015 stats: 340 rec yds, in 13 games played.
Edit: I think Long was originally referencing BM's route running.
January 29th, 2016 at 8:37 AM ^
"His shoulder is shot". I'll never understand why any QB worth their salt would play in Urban's system. He is the QB killer. The QB's don't develop and get clobbered. Of course, the OSU history of producing non NFL talent at QB goes back way further than Urban and is a long standing tradition at OSU.
**Note-- I will not call them suckeyes, etc. But I refuse to use the stupid t in front of OSU

The two best QBS in OSU history -- Johnny Utah and Shane Falco -- were fictional, with neither being as good as our fictional QB, Tim Wayman.

Why are all fictional OSU quarterbacks played by Keanu Reeves?
I do not get the Tim Wayman reference. What movie is that from?

NFL scouts would disagree with you. Braxton has natural hands and extends his arms to pluck the ball out of the air. Rare athlete who can play anywhere

NFL personnel have been raving about him all week.

Mike Thomas hits a nerve. I actually like his game as a WR, but he talks off the field like he is Randy Moss. I've seen him in public mention a few times how he torched the Michigan defense....... The guy had two catches.
January 29th, 2016 at 7:57 AM ^
Everyone act as if OSU players haven't , or don't , dominate UM players each and every year ? Watch the games again, they do, over and over. Then you can also look at the score, since that's how we actually measure it. Until UM players can manage to score more than 13 points at home, with the most expensive coaching staff in UM history, It should keep its head low and its mouth shut. Every year UM fans run their chops, and every year OSU beats them down as if they were children.

What does this have to do with Jordan Lewis. He did his job fine. And anyway, was Lewis' analysis about the route patterns of OSU incorrect?

The problem here is as Jourdan stated, "Do the math." An insurmountable challenge.
January 29th, 2016 at 10:40 AM ^
Well it's not like we shut down their passing game and forced them to run.
I like the confidence but I also don't think you should talk trash about a player or team that has dominated you. You can talk after you beat them. Until then there's not much you can say.
January 29th, 2016 at 11:00 AM ^
You can talk about an 'individual' performance from " The Game ". Which in this case is only a small portion of the context of JL's tweets and video to MT. Add to the context that JL's argument is that MT is not talented enough to be a threat in the League. I am sure their one on one battles can be analyzed more closely. Do you believe that JL would be vindicated in them as the more dominant player in that matchup? I do, so with that said this is not about 'The Game' really. More so about MT total body of work compared to JL's. Depends on which side of the fence you are with regard to who has the better trash talking fule, if you will?

Collectively, yes, but what does this have to do with Lewis? Lewis did his job that day and Thomas didn't have much of anything in the way of production. Two catches if memory serves.
That doesn't mitigate an overall beatdown, yes, but this conversation was about Lewis and Thomas, and Lewis handled himself pretty darn well in that matchup.
