you have no idea what really went on with any of these kids. for all you know harbaugh may have told elliot to decommit if he isnt 100 on board. signing day you will have the kids that want to be at michigan. i really doubt the story will be that harbaugh just "throws" kids out left and right.

What's wrong with what our staff did? They asked one kid to come to camp - last summer - so they could evaluate him. He declined. Most people would understand, when you refuse to camp with the new coaching staff, you're putting your offer at risk. The other kid took an OV to Temple last fall. That's a sign he knew his spot wasn't secure. That call that his spot was 50/50 didn't surprise him. I'm fine with it.

This is all a gray area though. Rashan Gary's spot is secure, yet he's taking an OV this weekend. Onwenu's spot is secure (right...?), yet he took an OV to sparty.

Optics aside, which I think is what the previous post was alluding to, this is a broken system. It's neither the kids' nor the coaches' faults to behave this way. I am not comfortable with any of it, yet until some early signing period allows kids to lock up spots with coaches that are willing to allot those spots, this process will continue to be a cluster.

All aboard the Crootin' Express!

for the meaning of  "equivocation, vacillation, doubt, hesitant, unsure of"  hell, help me out. I think this young man needs some help, seriously.  At this point, I am not certain if he will help or hinder whichever coach he finally commits to. I am not certain if I gave him explicit directions on what to do on a third and 2 if he would not cause me to burn a time-out by asking something like, "Coach, are you sure this is the way you want to go? I have played this over time and time again in my mind and I have concluded...................wait, it's 4th down now. Well, that certainly gives me pause for reconsideration. I think it best you put someone else in now and I'll let you know when...................if I am able to focus totally on the job at..........wait, what was the question again?" This young man, and I hope he does get the help he needs, should, at the very least, be recognized as needing FUCKING help. He's funny, but the joke gets old.

Decommit once, and I have no problem. Hard decision and all. Decommit twice and you're looking a little indecisive. Decommit three times, and it is addition by subtraction. This guy obviously doesn't have the willpower to follow through with something, and that's gonna hurt his eventual team more than his skills help.
