know exactly why, but I think Hill is going to State and I have felt that way for a while now. Call it a hunch.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:26 PM ^
Yeah, well, your hunches and $10 will get me a burrito, a large drink and salmonella from Chipotle...
HE BLUE!!!

Hospital/Molecular Epidemiology dork (and MD) post:
Chipotle outbreaks were either E.Coli 026 (yay shigatoxin plasmids!) or norovirus.

I am having trouble deciphering his words but I am pretty sure he just called you an asshole.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:58 PM ^
Bleeding from the asshole, to be more precise.
January 27th, 2016 at 3:31 PM ^
Yeah, well, your knowledge of molecular epidemiology and $10 will get me a Big Mac, large fries, and the norovirus...
January 27th, 2016 at 2:49 PM ^
Thoughts on these incidents being industry sabotage?!
January 27th, 2016 at 2:57 PM ^
Most likely; too many Chipotle wrappers turned into tin-foil hats.
Norovirus is a relatively common foodborne pathogen.
The E.Coli 026 infection is pretty interesting; O157 is the most common (and lethal), there have only been 6 documented O26 outbreaks. IF you have a multistate outbreak with the same genotype, you can make the argument that there is a common source that 'spiked' Chipotle in multiple locations.
However, it is much more likely that, given Chipotle's patchwork food distribution, something from one of their organic suppliers that was infected, got mixed into their regional distribution system.
January 27th, 2016 at 3:37 PM ^
OK, since we're talking about food borne pathogens... My favorite food of all time is Kibbeh Nayyeh, which is a Middle Eastern food comprised mostly of finely ground raw lamb. I eat it whenever I find it in the US, which is pretty rare given that restaurants avoid selling raw meats. I have eaten it at open air markets with no refrigeration around the Arab world many times, most recently last fall.
So here is my question: How soon will I die? I assume it is really soon, but wanted an MD's more precise opinion... :-D
January 27th, 2016 at 4:11 PM ^
I'm not an MD, but if you're here for Signing Day consider yourself lucky.
January 27th, 2016 at 5:54 PM ^
Sort of my thoughts as well. I mean, I don't doubt anything anymore but common sense also points to a cause being what you lay out above.
January 27th, 2016 at 4:43 PM ^
cheaper or more expensive than Salmonella?

if it were some variety of ococcus (unless it's you who has it).

It feels like we have lead for him for a LONG time and he keeps not committing. When someone has a leader forever without committing, it usually turns up being a different team last second.
Prove me wrong, Lavert!

Hope this is not true for Rashan!
Mlive article on Hill that says very little, truly playing cards close to the vest:

Can't imagine the off the field environment there would be much good for anybody.

It is definitely prosperous for crabs and genital lice
January 27th, 2016 at 2:41 PM ^
Yeah, but you can get that from the wrong Wal*Mart toilet seat, too.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:43 PM ^
Comparing walmart to east lansing seems fair...
January 27th, 2016 at 4:14 PM ^
Not to Walmart.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:53 PM ^
I'd poop in the Wal*Mart parking lot instead of their bathroom if it came down to it

Genital lice are actually going extinct in most western countries and Australia thanks to the "bald is beautiful" movement in pubic grooming.
So we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

SAVE THE GENITAL LICE!!! Hump a hippie...

There are people who never get to be that self aware in their entire life, and he's there as a 17/18 year old. Impressive.

What's bad? If he gets arrested, his coach will bail him out and even drive him to practice that very day. Doesn't sound too bad to me. Of course, if he goes to OSU he would have a fall guy and wouldn't get arrested in the first place.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:49 PM ^
Pretty mature for a guy his age to recognize that. Malik McDowell just about went to war with his own mother in a similar situation to be around his bad influences.
January 27th, 2016 at 6:08 PM ^
Very mature way to think! Was this in an article somewhere or something you heard?
*edit: meant to reply to another post or I replied to the correct one. Things looking weird on my tablet. Haha

FWIW, Sam was feeling the same pre-MSU official but changed back to Michigan post-MSU official/Michigan unofficial. Listened to the recruiting roundup today, and he made it clear that he's not as confident as some of his compadres at Scout, but that's mostly because of the back-and-forth nature of his recruitment since Durkin's departure - sounds like everything he's hearing RIGHT NOW is Michigan. To me it sounds like he's made his decision after the MSU visit, but minds change and such.
January 27th, 2016 at 6:26 PM ^
I believe Coach D'antolio already had his in-home visit prior to the official. I think State went to the whip a bit too early. We shall see though. Crazier things have happened

i am a michigan fan and i think your big brother stuff is getting old. especially when msu has kicked our ass. so let's forget big brother and just worry about beating them.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:35 PM ^
The Little Brother/Big Brother stuff stopped being funny long before even Rich Rodriguez got canned.
But hey, guys, there's this really neat new show called "Lost" you should check out. It's about these people and they get stranded on an island after their plane crashes and there's a Smoke Monster. It's pretty fly (for a white guy). Haha.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:40 PM ^
the finale of this Lost any good or is the worst, god awful, series finale ever conceived in the history of mankind? Just wondering.
January 27th, 2016 at 2:55 PM ^
It's an admission that they wrote themselves into corners throughout the series and finally just gave up on trying to make sense. It's too bad, the show was brilliant to start off with, but there was just oo much "Wouldn;t it be cool if?" and it ran off the rails. Not as badly as Ryan Murphy shows do, but it gets to the heart of my issue with J.J. Abrams. Guy is brilliant at getting things started and creates intriguing characters, concepts, and visuals, but holy hell he can't close.
January 27th, 2016 at 3:41 PM ^
... no one can write a decent ending to anything anymore it seems. I wonder if part of that has to do with trying to sum up something that was just supposed to be entertaining rather than convey some sort of moral truth. Or maybe they want to convey something, they just can't figure out what since they haven't worked it out for themselves yet. Who knows. All I know is that nearly all endings are crap these days.
January 27th, 2016 at 4:16 PM ^
Vince Gilligan can.
January 27th, 2016 at 3:58 PM ^
To be fair, JJ had almost nothing to do with the show beyond the initial setup. Carlton Cuse was brought in early and he brought in Lindelof, so blame them for the lousy ending.

I don't know, man. I'm just looking forward to seeing what happens next!
