Over at your site, you rate every Michigan commit. You had Enis at 78 (Solid starter in the Big 10). And he was almost at 80 on your scale, which is a "very good starter." So, does this mean that at this point, you think that Michigan should only recruit guys who you rate 80 and above? I don't know all your ratings of every player, but iirc, there are plenty of solid guys who you had below 78. Maybe it would make more sense for you to have a post on this over at TTB, going over your ratings of current commits, etc.

Also, I don't see that you ever gave a TTB rating to E. Swenson. Was that an oversight, or deliberate?

This one at least was in the works for a while and seemed to be expected by both parties. With all these spots opening up, I'm very curious to see how they will be filled.

know what or wasn't in the works with this "other situation", just say Swenson, because that's who you are talking about. Can we all stop pretending that just because we read some text exchanges that we know the complete story?  I'm not buying that the kid was blind sided. IMO, there is a HUGE difference between "I had no idea this was going to happen" and "I didn't think the coaches were actually going to pull the offer". Wait and see what JUB has to say before we keep pretending that we know all there is to know about "that situation".

Dude, I know the complete story the situation. I make it a priority to know pretty much everything about the lives of hs football players. It's a passion of mine. If you don't know what happened, that's cool but don't act like we all have to wait for JUB to say something before we "get it". Let's stop pretending here.

What I get is that it is nearly impossible for the Internet to know months in advance that Swenson probably wouldn't be in the class and he had zero idea. If the Internet ever knows more about my life than I do, I need to reevaluate what the fuck I'm doing

Unfortunately, far too many seem not to care. Winning is much more important to a lot of people who find that the ends justify the means.

They seemingly look at these kids as one might look at a player in a video game, not as a real person. If a kid gets hurt from something that may be a little shady, that's ok as long as the team gets a short term potentially positive benefit from it. Just a replaceable part.

Perhaps this type of person feels no real committment to a spouse after being married for a number of years, having an affair with the attractive much younger newcomer. Hey, committment only goes so far, and it feels good...

I don't understand the appeal. What type of psychic gratification does someone achieve by being a fan, an observer - not someone actually playing or part of a support staff , you know, someone who actually achieves the gridiron success - to justify and excuse what many view as unethical recruiting behavior?

I don't have an issue with it every prospect is still getting to go somewhere and play D-1 football while getting a free education.

It's a privilege to play at Michigan. Just like its a privilege to attend Michigan as a student.

If they were just being two faced and holding out until signing day than yeah that's messed up.
