Do you think Michigan & Harbaugh stopped recruiting Corley even though he was probably never going to come here? Onwenu is highly-rated in-state recruit. You are not doing your job well if you don't continue to recruit those kids until they sign their letter of intent.

Is there a small chance he changes his mind on an official visit? Yes. I would guess they will try to use peer pressure given the amount of Detroit kids that have ended up at MSU in the last 2 years. But I think the odds are pretty good he stays with Michigan given how long he has been committed here.

Who knows? It may actually end up being a benefit to Michigan to have a commit in East Lansing while Lavert Hill is on his official visit.

OK, I'll bite.

Dantonio is recruiting him because he's a helluva prospect, and an in-state one at that. No different from Harbaugh recruiting to the final bell. He goes after other teams' prospects who have verballed, too. That's how the game is played nowadays.

Onwenu taking an OV is disappointing but our staff will have to deal with it.

Why would he visit EL? Well, despite what many on this board, in denial, constantly note, Dantonio is a good recruiter, a good judge of talent, a fine coach, and has built the Spatans' program into a national power. They have had a recent run of success that surpasses ours. You may not like that, but ...

He may just want to explore all of his options before signing a LOI. Not unreasonable.

early and often, given the attrition on MSU's o-line.  I doubt he'll flip but it's worth a look for him.  Plus its a weekend to party on someone else's dime.

His sister goes to MSU.  Ugh!  I think he sticks with us, but he wouldn't be taking an official visit this late in the process if he was not seriously interested in MSU.
