Michigan is working to flip a lot of people, doesn't mean it's likely but unless the recruit tells them to stop they will keep trying until they sign their LOI.  That's the way this staff views it, a fight to the very end.  They are still recruiting Delance, would be recruiting Nauta if he hadn't enrolled, kept after Long while he was a Stanford commit.

If he's the real deal, our defensive line will be tremendous with at least five all-conference type of guys + Marshall would be a fill guy. Godin if offered a fifth year would be a quality depth guy. Then you toss in a Freshman (Gary?, Elliott, Kemp, Johnson) or two and we are in business.

Interesting. I assume we're trying to flip him from MSU to Michigan, but even if there isn't space, I could see encouraging him to go somewhere other than State (like outside the Big10)

Actually, I think they are literally trying to physically flip him. Not to UM or any other school, but lift him off his feet into the air and rotate his body 360 degrees. They've got Harbaugh, Mattison, and that grizzled veteran street cop we hired as DC and they're currently limbering-up for the challenge. I personally like their chances, given that Harbaugh eats enough steak and whole milk to kill a grizzly via cholesterol-related heart disease.

As a fan, I wish that if he doesn't go to Michigan, that if be happier if he didn't go to MSU. That said, I think we all know that the coaching staff at Michigan wouldn't waste their time on trying to flip a kid from MSU to another school, no matter how much I wish they would.

I'll also admit my joke wasn't very funny in retrospect.

I go to MSU. Heck, they would have beaten Alabama, but they just got a little out of sorts. A LITTLE?!? I kid, I kid, it was those darn two hour bus rides that did them in. Quoting Mark D'Antonio,

“We spent two hours on the bus going back and forth, two different times, for media day. … the luncheon, day before the game was a two-hour ordeal, back and forth. We had an eight o’clock picture, and then we had (more) pictures at some point in time. So, again, back and forth, and I think we got a little outta sorts.

Disrespekted by a bus. Now I've heard it all.
