the posts recently on non-UM friendly sites have featured repeatedly how the MSM refuses to 'investigate this' while burying Spartans, etc.... it's just hilarious. now we find out that harris has had a consistent immaturity in practices (dust ups - his statement said it was repeated behavior he's trying to curb). and the coach left him behind for it. how DARE these UM bastard coaches push life lessons on their kids! that's the state's responsibility, not coaches! players should be allowed to play without penalty, leave it to the prisons to handle the issue!

Yet another reason why I love Beilein. He is exactly the kind of man our basketball program needs in the wake of the NCAA violations and its fallout. No matter his record, he's a classy guy and I'm proud to call him our head coach.

Or some on court worries you have? Because if it's the latter, word. I can respect that. But I would hope it's not too much to ask that we can not be Calipari'esque, and win too.

It's nice to see Jack Johnson standing up for Red, especially when he had nothing to gain and a lot to lose. That's character. FWIW, Manny served the same suspension (1 game) for starting a fight in practice as 8 Spartans served for (allegedly) committing assault, battery, and conspiracy.

Is it really a good idea for Bacon to say "he made matters worse", and leave it at that? It seems like it leaves it even MORE up to speculation...

Making it worse is the same sort of stuff like when my kids have been involved in a maybe-justified fight over something (as it sounds like Manny's was maybe justified) but don't just stop, let it go, and go do whatever I told them. If Manny tried to justify his behavior, that's making it worse. If he refuses to accept it was an accident, or won't accept the other guy's apology, that's making it worse. If he stalks off all "whatever" (my daughter's favorite), that's making it worse. None of this is worth going into detail over. It's the sort of thing that happens when people practice hard, and the sort of thing that happens when you're dealing with young people. Beilein sounds like he has it under control.

But he could have just left that as we knew it, "unsportsmanlike conduct", and not created more speculation. Because while your speculation seems reasonable, someone could take it on the other end of the spectrum and say "maybe he took a swing at Beilein too when he was breaking it up". Just as easy to put out there with the info given, if infinitely more silly. My point is don't have all this inside knowledge to act like you have inside knowledge, and give us a tidbit. Either come clean, or respect what the coach has put out there and say nothing.
