Eastern Kentucky names Kevin Koger Wide Receivers Coach
Kevin Koger (not Kroger) has been named Wide Receivers coach at Eastern Kentucky University. Koger spent the 2015 season at Tennessee serving in the role of quality control coach.
Didn't see this on the Board unless it was mentioned in a thread.

for getting the ball rolling on the 2008 Wisconsin comeback. Great athlete and could have been a superstar in Harbaugh's offense.

WOW, what a memory! Go to the 2:31 mark:
Other highlights include:
- 500th Game at Michigan Stadium
- Nice opening shot of Bert, but not falling down
- Played Hail to Victors Waltz at the end
Thanks to WD for the last 1st and 3rd comment.

That's the last time we beat Wisconsin, partly because RR's defenses weren't too good and partly because fuck you very much Jim Delany and your magical new world.
We'll play them again this coming season, by which time it'll have been almost six years between games against them.

It makes me so angry that 4 year players will potentially go their entire career without playing Wisco, and none of them will play them both at home and Camp Randall.

It hurts me to think of what he could have done in a Harbaugh offense.

Jake Butt > or Kevin Koger? if you cant decide choose the better name. If you cant decide the better player or name then just drink some vodka and it should be clear

I saw this on the board the other day but I thought it said TE coach

Anyone else remember that Countdown To Kickoff when Koger just went off about his massive love for Pokémon?
Still my biggest moment of "Oh my god. They really are just kids!" in my sports fandom.

A Tennessee Assistant Coach just took that EKU job so it makes perfect sense that he would take Koger with him.

This is so awesomely random. I work at EKU.

It's an evening for Wolverines to get jobs on football staffs or in this case to take jobs with other staffs apparently - definitely not a bad thing at all. Either way, it's great to hear about former players making their way (or starting their way, as Miller is - see thread below) through the coaching ranks. Best of luck to Koger in this new position.

One of my personal favorite players. Always looked to be in a good mood on the sidelines, and seemed to genuinely love the game and student life. Happy to see him get an opportunity to coach.

Could you imagine Kevin Kroger being groomed under Harbaugh? *shivers*
Would have been something else
January 9th, 2016 at 12:02 AM ^
Bet you he wishes he could have stayed as a GA assistant for Harbaugh.

Not only did that catch start the scoring for Michigan, it was also Koger's first collegiate pass reception and TD.
I felt bad for him tearing his achillies tendon during early 2012 workouts which left him unable to perform for NFL scouts.

Loved watching him play. Always wished they'd toss him the ball more; TE was never a focus of those offenses, but Koger always made it look like it should be.
Go blue!

Now kill it for a season or two so you can get the eff our of those hick backwoods

To Koger. I know him and he's a GREAT humble guy.

I'm starting to realize that Hoke had better coaching talent on the field than on the sidelines. Damn shame.
Best of luck to Kevin. He's going to make an awesome TE coach one day.

staff than he did as a player.

Kevin is great guy! Meet him at Barwis Methods and he was just an all around good guy. Very humble and great with the younger kids. Congrats to him!

Good player. I always thought Kevin could play in the NFL but he gave up too soon. Perhaps he did not want it that badly and wanted to go in to coaching
