Wow, players are leaving OSU fast. Their churn rate is really high. Luckily, since anyone in that miserable state can go to that terrible school, they'll find replacements...

All the freshmen coming into camp in the fall have to put a black stripe on their helmet. I think it's just electrical tape. Anyway, then they have to 'earn' the right to remove the stripe. A good day in practice, bringing Urban pizza when he's sad, whatever it takes. Some of them get it off the first week, some of them keep it until game week.

Lots of people are fine with that, obviously. But I don't like it.

Glad to see you leave.

Also, as Harbaugh continues to get top flight talent to A2, I believe we'll have more frosh playing because it will be doubtful they stay 4 or especially 5 years, get them some experience to keep the train rolling so we won't have to worry about whom departs or not cause another stud will be there to fill in.

This concept will also allow us to have bigger recruiting classes.

Just crazy to me what happened this year against msu...this team sleepwalked its way through the year and it costed them. This was definitely a playoff worthy team in terms of talent...they proved that against us and Norte dame.

to MSU's strength, their defensive line.  (Plus, Urbz helped out a little.)

Through three quarters (while MSU trailed Alabama by less than 31), the Spartans had yielded only 62 yards rushing on 25 carries (2.5 avg).

Take away the rain and the 30mph winds & the Spartans get smoked.

As of now I think OSU has only 7 returning starters next years with Vonn bell still deciding. There is no way OSU deserves to strt the season in he top 10 meaning Michigan will be the highest ranked big ten team preseason. Yay! On a serious note we really have to beat them next year

"Big letdown" huh??? They lost one game on a last second field goal to a team that right or wrong was in the playoffs and then proceeded to plow us and Notre dame...that team was insanely talented and all that have declared will be drafted by round 4- pretty crazy when you think about it. That's not even including seniors like zeke etc. unfortunately, we play them at the end of the year when the talented group of replacements are more well-seasoned.

You can get away with being undisciplined and unfocused most of the time. The MSU debacle woke them up. Glad they didn make the playoff or they'd have probably won it all. I think when (not if) we have that level of talent, Harbaugh will have them focused, ready to win, every Saturday. Our days of dominance are coming soon.

You questioned Blue_by_U's use of the words "big let down," and then proceeded to highlight just how loaded they were, yet they didn't win the Big Ten or reach the CFP. Sounds like you actually agree (and rightfully so, in my opinion) that this year was in fact a big let down.

Ohio state has continually brought in top 5 classes over the past 4 years, much like us, but Hoke waisted most of that talent in development. I think we still have 3 years till the gap is closer, we will be more experienced next year, but OSU will still be loaded, young and hungry. Much like when they won the national championship. Eventually we will get there, but to do it in one year is ridiculous.

There is still a talent gap between them and us.

But there is no longer a combined talent + experience gap between us.  We are way ahead there.  I do wish The Game was in Ann Arbor though.
