OSU WR Michael Thomas to the NFL Draft
http://buckeyextra.dispatch.com/content/stories/2016/01/06/michael-thom…
They'll still be very talented next year, but this is their eighth early entry into the draft.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:47 PM ^
Wow, players are leaving OSU fast. Their churn rate is really high. Luckily, since anyone in that miserable state can go to that terrible school, they'll find replacements...

Why do I get the feeling that, behind the scenes, Urbz is really irritating to play for?
January 5th, 2016 at 5:20 PM ^
It's not the reason. It's because they're damn good. Half of them are projected to get drafted at 1st/2nd round.

They are good but I have a feeling Urbz really is irritating to play for. If what all the guys from Florida say about him is true.
January 5th, 2016 at 8:24 PM ^
That stupid black stripe thing he does with the freshmen is enough all by itself to make me never want to play for him. I hate that kind of stuff.
January 6th, 2016 at 9:53 AM ^
I'm not familiar with the 'black stripe thing'.
January 6th, 2016 at 1:19 PM ^
All the freshmen coming into camp in the fall have to put a black stripe on their helmet. I think it's just electrical tape. Anyway, then they have to 'earn' the right to remove the stripe. A good day in practice, bringing Urban pizza when he's sad, whatever it takes. Some of them get it off the first week, some of them keep it until game week.
Lots of people are fine with that, obviously. But I don't like it.
January 6th, 2016 at 9:31 AM ^
We have guys that are really good too . . . yet they still want to stay and play for Harbaugh.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:43 PM ^
OSU IS GONNA CRY NEXT YEAR WHEN THEY GET CRUSHED BY THE NEW BEST IM THE BIG TEN IM THEIR HORSESHIT STADIUM HAHAHA YESSSSSSSSS
January 5th, 2016 at 6:32 PM ^
I see that your keyboard got covered in Joy-kakke today...
January 5th, 2016 at 6:33 PM ^
please stop yelling.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:50 PM ^
They are starting a new NFL team.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:51 PM ^
Record number of underclassmen to declare for the draft?
January 5th, 2016 at 5:07 PM ^
LSU had 11 declare in 2013
January 5th, 2016 at 5:15 PM ^
LSU went from 10-3 (9-3 regular season) in 2013 to 8-5 (8-4 regular season) in 2014. Thought there would have been a larger drop off.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:40 PM ^
OSU 12-1 TO OSU 8-4 OR MAYBE EVEN 7-5????? LOOK AT THEIR SCHEDULE ITS VERY POSSIBLE IF THEY HAVE A DOWN YEAR LIKE IT SEEMS IS VERY POSSIBLE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
January 5th, 2016 at 5:42 PM ^
Yeah that's what happens when you have great recruiting classes and reload your team. That's why Bama is always in national championship contention even though it seems like they have a new QB every year now.

for new recruits. /s.
I can't remember seeing this many guys go early.
January 6th, 2016 at 9:32 AM ^
"a new QB every year"
Hey, us too!
January 5th, 2016 at 7:49 PM ^
I think Kentucky bball had 6 last year.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:53 PM ^
Urbz to the NFL
January 5th, 2016 at 4:53 PM ^
Glad to see you leave.
Also, as Harbaugh continues to get top flight talent to A2, I believe we'll have more frosh playing because it will be doubtful they stay 4 or especially 5 years, get them some experience to keep the train rolling so we won't have to worry about whom departs or not cause another stud will be there to fill in.
This concept will also allow us to have bigger recruiting classes.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:53 PM ^
Another one bites the dust....
/I miss Freddie Mercury
January 5th, 2016 at 4:54 PM ^
Just crazy to me what happened this year against msu...this team sleepwalked its way through the year and it costed them. This was definitely a playoff worthy team in terms of talent...they proved that against us and Norte dame.

this was Ohio state's best team in 40 years.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:37 PM ^
to MSU's strength, their defensive line. (Plus, Urbz helped out a little.)
Through three quarters (while MSU trailed Alabama by less than 31), the Spartans had yielded only 62 yards rushing on 25 carries (2.5 avg).
Take away the rain and the 30mph winds & the Spartans get smoked.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:41 PM ^
That, plus their OC lost his mind and decided not to use Elliot at all during the game. The one drive they used him in the first quarter, they scored a touchdown

Yeah, this. I think it was more than just the weather. Sure, that played a part, but I don't buy that the weather was more important than the coaching.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:55 PM ^
As of now I think OSU has only 7 returning starters next years with Vonn bell still deciding. There is no way OSU deserves to strt the season in he top 10 meaning Michigan will be the highest ranked big ten team preseason. Yay! On a serious note we really have to beat them next year
January 5th, 2016 at 5:07 PM ^
Unfortunately, I think they still will be. Urbz has his 50-4 track record, elite recruiting classes, and returning qb. That said, I think we will be the highest ranked big 10 team.

Keep in mind, the national perception is we have no starting QB going into next year.

January 5th, 2016 at 6:27 PM ^
Well, that perception would be reality - wouldn't it?
January 5th, 2016 at 7:42 PM ^
They're still going to be really, really good by the time we roll into town. They have talent everywhere on the roster.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:55 PM ^
Wake me up when Bell makes a decision. Hes the last major player left that could possibly bolt.

January 5th, 2016 at 7:40 PM ^
Wake up. He's going pro.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:55 PM ^
That's impressive. That said, while they will still be good, the division is ours for the taking.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:01 PM ^
"Big letdown" huh??? They lost one game on a last second field goal to a team that right or wrong was in the playoffs and then proceeded to plow us and Notre dame...that team was insanely talented and all that have declared will be drafted by round 4- pretty crazy when you think about it. That's not even including seniors like zeke etc. unfortunately, we play them at the end of the year when the talented group of replacements are more well-seasoned.

Zeke is a Junior
January 5th, 2016 at 6:28 PM ^
But a real gone Junior, man - real gone...
January 5th, 2016 at 5:10 PM ^
You can get away with being undisciplined and unfocused most of the time. The MSU debacle woke them up. Glad they didn make the playoff or they'd have probably won it all. I think when (not if) we have that level of talent, Harbaugh will have them focused, ready to win, every Saturday. Our days of dominance are coming soon.
January 5th, 2016 at 5:34 PM ^
You questioned Blue_by_U's use of the words "big let down," and then proceeded to highlight just how loaded they were, yet they didn't win the Big Ten or reach the CFP. Sounds like you actually agree (and rightfully so, in my opinion) that this year was in fact a big let down.
January 5th, 2016 at 6:04 PM ^
I reject your truth based facts and instead will replace them with blue tinted glasses fantasy based truths.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:56 PM ^
Another Urban achiever. Liking the attrition so far.
January 5th, 2016 at 4:56 PM ^
Wow. 8 underclassmen now. Talent gap evaporating before our eyes. Yippeee and Go Blue!
January 5th, 2016 at 5:04 PM ^
Im counting off the top of my head 17 starters this year that wont be back (I am assuming Bell will be leaving in that total)

OSU still has a lorry full of talent.
January 5th, 2016 at 7:09 PM ^
Ohio state has continually brought in top 5 classes over the past 4 years, much like us, but Hoke waisted most of that talent in development. I think we still have 3 years till the gap is closer, we will be more experienced next year, but OSU will still be loaded, young and hungry. Much like when they won the national championship. Eventually we will get there, but to do it in one year is ridiculous.
January 6th, 2016 at 9:37 AM ^
There is still a talent gap between them and us.
But there is no longer a combined talent + experience gap between us. We are way ahead there. I do wish The Game was in Ann Arbor though.
