ESPN Bracketology: Michigan a 10 Seed
Yes, yes, yes. It's stupid to be talking bracketology in early January. You don't need to point that out. But I'm still looking forward to our match-up in St. Louis against seventh-seeded George Washington!

gotta win one and hopefully 2 of them.

You know, people throw the word "frontbutt" around willy-nilly these days. But Weis had a frontbutt unparalleled in the history of disgusting fat guys. I mean, that thing is just incredible. If God is a He and He has a frontbutt, it was the model for Weis'.

I think we can take the 300 year old corpse of a dead president
January 4th, 2016 at 7:52 PM ^
if only because the game wouldn't be played near the Deleware River
January 4th, 2016 at 7:52 PM ^
If we can hit the three...
January 4th, 2016 at 9:15 PM ^
The corpse is actually only a little over 200 years old so he might still have some hops.

I love March Madness ad much as the next guy. But talk to me in mid February about brackets. They'll make much more sense then.

Lunardi usually does a pretty good job with picking bubble teams (who's in and who's out). However, he's awful when it comes to seeding, but that's almost impossible to predict anyways.

I think Palm has us as a 9.
January 4th, 2016 at 7:58 PM ^
But I say we win the next 3 (at least)
January 4th, 2016 at 7:58 PM ^
If that comes true, there will be a #1 seed crapping itself over that.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:13 PM ^
up being a top 2 seed. They have young talented players and a key big man injured that theyll get back in like a month and thats when they play the top acc teams
January 4th, 2016 at 7:59 PM ^
#10? I have no idea how they come up with these things. There is no way someone can predict this early January.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:05 PM ^
Really? At what... 13-3 or whatever we are? I understand we've had some terrible losses and were no higher than a 5 seed at best, but I feel like we're a 5-8 seed at worst. 10 seed?...

Plus at least our terrible losses were to good teams. We've beaten everyone we should have beaten plus Texas

I wouldn't really call our losses "terrible" they were to very good teams. Terrible in that we got drilled, yes lol

Yea good teams but we weren't competitive in either game for at least the better of one half in each. But that doesn't take away from the good we've done and warrant us a 10 seed.

Let's see what Donnal can do against Haas and Hammons first.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:28 PM ^
No one's doing that.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:44 PM ^
My apologies, Mabel. It's a line from Pulp Fiction.

We're all adults here. Well, except for Gil I believe.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:17 PM ^
We'll be a 2 seed by the time March Madness roles around.

i've got a car i want to sell you
January 4th, 2016 at 9:06 PM ^
Negative, ghostrider.
January 4th, 2016 at 10:06 PM ^
You need to be more optimistic
January 4th, 2016 at 8:17 PM ^
has anyone done a study of just how god-awful (i'm assuming) these mock brackets are? like in the history of this dumb ass phenomenon, have they even come remotely close to ever getting even some of the seeds correct (other than an occasional clear cut #1)?
January 4th, 2016 at 8:18 PM ^
When we win the Big Ten by 2 games we'll be in the talk for a 1 seed. A guy can dream right?

I'd make that drive.

Yes our losses are all to good or great teams, but we're lacking a real quality win at this point. Beating Purdue or Maryland would be a good first one.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:37 PM ^
Yep, I think we get Purdue twice as well. Plenty of opportunity to earn it.

Hard to really predict where we will end up without knowing the long term details fo Caris's injury.
January 4th, 2016 at 8:30 PM ^
Is throwing old Joe off!
January 4th, 2016 at 8:39 PM ^
I would not like this matchup. George Washington is a mighty and supreme pillar of basketball awesomeness. Completely and totally unstoppable in every way.
January 4th, 2016 at 9:16 PM ^
Sounds about right. It's stupidly early, but they do need to get a couple wins against Maryland, Purdue, and Iowa to make up for an underwhelming OOC.
January 5th, 2016 at 10:21 AM ^
As someone also mentioned above, UM is lacking a 'quality' win. While some like to talk about beating NC State and Texas, I don't see either of those teams doing a lot in their conferences. Texas might be good but the Big 12 appears to be loaded this year.
January 4th, 2016 at 10:10 PM ^
I really am looking forward to the Purdue game. If Donnal, backed up by Doyle, can at all deal with their bigs, if LeVert is healthy, and if LeVert, Irvin, Walton, Robinson, and maybe Rahkman can continue to hit threes and pass well, we can win that game. At that point, we will know more about how this season will end up for Michigan. It would be totally awesome if Donnal continued to do well, and if the light went on for Doyle the same way it has for Donnal.
January 5th, 2016 at 10:27 AM ^
Because it's never too early to discuss Michigan anything. However, I am tempering my enthusiasm, until I see Donnal against better bigs. I certainly hope he can sustain his recent improvement in that scenario, because he is definitely the difference maker for this team, if that's the case.
GoBLUE!!
