but I'd still say ND. They were trash.

I heard she was looking for connor cook's number.

damn hard choice. Both teams we gave a W to. Imma go with the ND team because the osu win by state is much better than anything that nd team did
December 31st, 2015 at 11:44 PM ^
Agree. Plus ND is historically overrated.

38-0 on the biggest stage MSU will ever play on. That shit is funny!

Actually a really good question...I'd be interested to see the numbers.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:45 PM ^
from Spartan tears... But that ND team was literally the most overhyped pile of garbage ever put in a championship bowl game.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:47 PM ^
MSU. Perhaps I am way off, but I didn't think Notre Dame had as much pure luck in their season to prevent losses. MSU was in several close games against TERRIBLE teams this year. So satisfying to see them exposed just as it was in 2012 with ND
December 31st, 2015 at 11:50 PM ^
ND got lucky to beat us in south bend that year. We outgained them on offense and was in the redzone 100 times and denard or somebody else fumbled in the redzone 100 times
December 31st, 2015 at 11:56 PM ^
than they had points in margin of victory haha. Then look at the Pitt game on the Pitt FG attempt to win. ND had two players on the block team wearing #2 with a ref standing right behind them with no call. Not even counting the 2 Phantom PI calls to get them to OT. Then the Stanford OT game where Taylor scores and they call it no TD. Just an entire year of BS calls in their favor and I barely scratched the surface. ND was atrocious that year and msu looked like they belonged on the field for a half tonight.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:22 AM ^
that was the 6 turnovers game.
January 1st, 2016 at 1:33 AM ^
Oh crap, now the nightmares will start all over again
January 1st, 2016 at 11:47 AM ^
Wasn't that the year ND didn't get called for two players on the field with the same number against Pitt that would have given Pitt a first down and ended the game? Instead ND pulled it out.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:47 PM ^
Msu won important and tough games. Nd was a shadow of sticks.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:54 PM ^
I'd have to go with Notre Dame. I mean, not many people were giving MSU a lot of respect and over hyped praise this year. Many people looked at them as being fortunate with some of their wins.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:51 PM ^
We should have beat both of those shitty teams

msu was exposed tonight but they earned their spot in this game.

No. Both should have had 3+ losses.

Pure luck-MSU by a mile. But ND was more of a paper tiger. They didn't really beat anyone of significance, so I guess I'll go with ND
December 31st, 2015 at 11:56 PM ^
I'm going to go with State by a nose. They were both greatly overrated.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:58 PM ^
I'd go with msu since they already had a loss to a terrible team.
December 31st, 2015 at 11:58 PM ^
ND beat the Pac 12 and Big 12 champions( stanford and oklahoma by 18 in Norman... Also beat MSU by 17 in EL and beat Southern Cal, Michigan and BYU. not exactly a bad resume.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:05 AM ^
That's true. They could have beaten a bunch of teams that year, although they did have some close games against Stanford and BC. I think they would have beaten 2015 MSU. Alabama can be a tough nut to crack, as we (and many others) have learned.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:10 AM ^
Pitt was the game they got mega lucky in If I remember correctly.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:19 AM ^
needed OT to win.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:20 AM ^
You're absolutely right. Pitt missed a game-winning field goal and then lost in overtime.
January 1st, 2016 at 8:33 AM ^
K-State was the Big12 champ.

they both beat our teams those years so how fucking stupid do we look with this thread.
Beat florida tomorrow and life is good.

January 1st, 2016 at 12:59 AM ^
So a team can't beat us and be overrated at the same time?
January 1st, 2016 at 12:11 AM ^
MSU was more overrated. They lucked out victories all year
January 1st, 2016 at 12:16 AM ^
That Notre Dame team went undefeated in the regular season including wins against UM, MSU, Oklahoma, USC, Miami, and Stanford. Their resume was so much better than 2015 MSU it's apples and oranges. Both got exposed but only one of them didn't score a point in doing so.
January 1st, 2016 at 11:18 AM ^
To be fair, MSU did beat Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa and Oregon.
Neither team had bad seasons, they just got lucky and once that ran out, they were exposed as the 3/4 loss teams they were.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:17 AM ^
Notre Dame was undefeated and beat legit teams.. I don't even see an argument here. msu lucked out their whole season.
January 1st, 2016 at 1:39 AM ^
What? I think you might have forgotten a few key details about a few of ND's wins that year.

please enlighten me.
they beat USC, Stanford, MSU, Miami, and Oklahoma all in one regular season AND they went undefeated.
tell me the last time a big ten team had a resume that good in the regular season.
every team that goes undefeated lucks out in a game or two. it's just the way college football works.
msu's resume pales in comparison to ND's in 2012. also, did you notice the score of the two games? MSU was beaten much worse.
LSU was shutout by bama the following year but nobody said LSU was undeserving.
January 1st, 2016 at 1:55 AM ^
also 2012 bama was wayyyy better than 2015 bama. nobody was beating bama in 2012.
bamas QB is garbage this year.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:20 AM ^
That ND game was over by the end of the 1st quarter. Seriously ... by the end of the first quarter of that ND game it was so painfully obvious Alabama was toying with a very overmatched ND team.
Tonight's game was plausibly close until the 3rd. Alabama wore MSU down. But it took more than a quarter to show it.
Maybe the 2011 Alabama team was that much better. But if I compare the two games, MSU put in a better showing at first, but fell apart in the 2nd half.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:19 AM ^
At least we didn't do that!
January 1st, 2016 at 12:21 AM ^
Jim Bollman being the common denominator here.
January 1st, 2016 at 12:44 AM ^
had the ball bounced our way this year and we somehow beat OSU and Iowa that could have been us getting emaciated tonight, or worse next Monday.
So cool it.
