Apparently a sign that I'm getting old (or that these games don't belong on NYE): sitting here at someone else's house, drinking a Stella, with a cat on my lap, and watching the game on an iPad.

Started with an IPA. Then an amber ale. Half a glass of apple pie that we made for Christmas. Split a bottle of pink champagne with the wife. Now just opened my bottle of Patron and made a sunrise. From here who knows. The night is young.

Yea, it's an interesting thing here with TG.  Again, I'm not alone on my thoughts in the next paragraph, but many people have jumped on the TG train, and honestly, rightfully so.

But, what sucks is that the beer that helped truly get me into craft beer and what not, was Pseudo Sue.  That beer I haven't had since, oh, the middle of 2014.  I had a can of Julius recently, and it was probably the best IPA I've ever had.  Except, I honestly remember having something quite similar over the past few years...Pseudo Sue.  The tropical, juicy punch used to be there but is no longer.  I assume this is something lost due to the brewing on a larger scale (a huge reason why the stuff from Florida is really not close to the aforementioned Sue).  But still...I yearn for that beer again.

Now, Pompeii and Zeelander, probably my 2 current favorite hops from TG are pretty damn good in their own right, so I can't complain too much.  But yea, if you're need more of that hop punch (i.e more bitterness) TG will seem a little mild.

Holler if you're every travelling back through Cedar Rapids/Iowa City for whatever reason.

Grabbed a bunch of beer for tonight--a Victory sampler, Bell's Two Hearted, and Ballast Point Wahoo White. Visiting Pennsylvania, and I'm finding the beer selection here is much better than what I can get in New Hampshire.
