Your Employer sucks like mine and the office is open today NEGBANG

Submitted by FormAFarkingWall on

While driving to the office this morning, I was the only car at a major stop light.  On a typical workday I would have been joined by at least 40 cars.  There is actual GOOD football starting in 2 hours and I will be here AT LEAST 5 more.  NEGBANG MY LIFE.

My employer sucks but fuck it I have two paid sick days left this year so I used one yesterday and I'm using the other one today. Don't get paid for New Years (yeah he sucks that much) If I were come in he would just make my life a living hell even though it's a holiday, so fuck it I'm just going to have an extra long weekend.

My employer has made the bizarre decision that we're open, but I'm not expected to do any work. Am allowed to watch TV. THEN WHY DO YOU NEED ME HERE?

Neg away.

Mine doesn't suck...I love working in college athletics and we have a men's basketball game today so I'm getting ready to leave to go in.

I spoke with our AD and we're playing our game today at 1p so we can all get home and watch the CFB playoff. True story.

Yup. My employer also has us working today. Much like the 23rd, exactly nothing will get done. I'm bummed I'll miss the Oklahoma Clemson game. I feel like that will be the game with all the fireworks while Sparty-Bama will be a slog fest.

Not sure why I'm at the office today. Pulled in where there are usually 100 cars, there were 3. I have nothing to do at the office today. Employers should not do this to us. Think I'm going to leave around 11 Central and go catch the Houston vs FSU game.

And I worked Christmas.

Joys of being the new guy!

Or, they just hate me.

Yeah but congrats on getting your dream job out of probably thousands of candidates!

Word of advice, TV guy:>
Work tirelessly, never complain, and save as much of your money as possible until such day as you have a fairly secure position (if such a thing can be said to exist in TV!).

My cup of coffee in TV news was oh so brief - and I'll definitely be working tonight because I'm a bartender now!

That being said, I'd probably be working if I was a sports anchor too! ;-)
