OT-Its Friday night and I have no life official thread

Submitted by Dark Blue on

So yeah, another Friday night and I'm sitting at home alone, my girlfriend is out of town, and I have absolutely nothing to do. I've killed the last hour switching between playing modern warfare 2 and watching Family Guy re-runs. Is there anyone else out in Mgoland who has no life? I need some entertainment tonight so if someone could have a meltdown that would be fantastic.

Does anyone else think that the single player COD Modern Warfare 2 is not as good as the first one? The multi-player is better but the story in single player mode just doesn't seem as good to me.

Co-sign MW2. I was able to beat the single player in just over 4 hours on the most difficult level the other day. It was short, the character I play as dies... TWICE. The macro-story line was solid, but I thought the first MW did a better job of selling their micro-story lines. There just seemed to be a lot of events in MW2 that were left without much explanation, and instead of creating suspense, they just happened.

And if you think you have no life at 8:20p on a Friday, I might had already been asleep.

Still hooked on Battlefield 2. Can't seem to shake it either, as I have a stack of other games that need to be played but havent gotten around to it (Bioshock, SupCom, Farcry 2 to name a few).

Some of the performances were inspiring, but a couple of them are definitely going through pitch-correction software before they become available for download. The two that really need it so far are the first song, something about "send me an angel," and whatever Taylor Swift's song was. Both hit some really flat notes.

I'll probably d/l most of it anyway, because the money goes to Haiti. It will be fun to hear if there is any pitch correction.

Conan's last show on NBC should be a lot of fun, too. I like Neil Young, so seeing him there will be a bonus, but I am definitely tuning in to see what havoc he wreaks for his last night.

I didn't play much of the first Call of Duty, but I'm hooked on the second one. I'll admit that the storyline could use a little tweaking. Still, the scenes in Virginia/D.C. are pretty awesome.

As for Warner, I'm a journalist in Phoenix and word around the office here from people in the know is that he's probably done. I think he still has the urge to play (he basically said as much in his Rick Reilly interview), but he has other priorities in his life. He's not Brett Favre. I hope he returns for the Cardinals' sake, but I also think Leinart will be OK. He's looked good at times and just needs to get some reps.

Evening is just starting on the West Coast! Gonna go dive bar crawl with my buddies in a bit. But if I was home I'd open a bottle of wine and read a good book.

I've been playing Bioshock since 3. I'm about to face the final boss but I don't want to beat him because I don't know what I'm going to do with my free time after I beat the game.
