I hate to actually answer with anything that is semi-relevant to the thread, but I am going to do it anyway. The Browns can use the help. They can also use Pryor to placate the fanbase, most of whom are ardent OSU fans. Most of all, I am impressed with Pryor. Our hatred of him aside, he has subjugated his ego to try and stay in the league. That, at least, puts him one step above Tim Tebow.
Imagine what would happen if Tebow had ignored the media slurp-fest before it turned into a media laugh-fest. Imagine if Tebow had done what Pryor has and simply said: "I'll do whatever it takes to play. I'll play whatever position you need me to play."
I am convinced that Tebow would have been an all-NFL TE if he had done that. Now he's just some guy who is in the news more for being intentionally celibate than he is for anything he was able to accomplish in the NFL.
Just think: Pryor is smarter and more humble than Tim Tebow. Would any of us have thought that when they were in school?

Can we all just agree that grown men should never use "LOL" in any circumstance? Ever.

Disagree. It's a part of society might as well get used to it

So are "pantyhose" but that doesn't mean men should be wearing them around.

Men in tights?

I use it but as a ironic thing because it actually is a thing people use. which is crazy to me
December 1st, 2015 at 7:55 PM ^
because apparently I am much more hilarious in my head than I am in print. So now I slap "LOL" down so people know I am kidding. (That would have helped when I mistakenly made the whole Penn State fanbase want to fire their athletic director)

It's been around for 20 years now. Has nothing to do with gender, either. I use it (31 year old male), although I kind of hate when I use it too often or if I use it when something's really not that funny. However, it's almost an important part of casual digital communication these days. Using it helps give a sense of the tone of the conversation, something that's hard to infer at times when texting/chatting and not being able to see the other person. Almost like a digital body language, if that makes sense.

"However, it's almost an important part of casual digital communication these days"
Whaaaaaat?
"LOL" doesn't offend me as a man so much as it does a "Second City" trained Improvisor.
It's either funny or it's not. No need to tell us you are laughing at your own material.

In the context of making a joke yeah I see what you mean. Fair enough.

You mean like the player most like him we had - Devin Gardner - tried?
Yes what an outrage.
Wow Pryor is ancient history - let it go man.
/does anyone have some Troy Smith and Maurice Clarett updates?

He's been released and a changed man. He's a good guy and is one of the better motivational speaker you'll see around.

To be fair, Michigan fans were being dumb at tweeting at Maurice.

He offered up better pictures of what he had with him when he was arrested to help out Michigan fans who were dealing with displacement issues.
He has embraced the mistakes he made, has been, to this point, a great example of the ability of a person to reform himself. As you said he has been going to various schools and other groupd to try to get through to players the mistakes he made and how to take responsibility for yourself.
ESPN story if you are interested, they went to two talks he gave at Alabama and FSU this summer. http://espn.go.com/ncf/story/_/id/13509897/how-former-ohio-state-buckey…

but isn't he the one who spent his offical visit on the opposing sidelines? Forgive don't forget.

Sorry for the double post.
December 1st, 2015 at 9:56 PM ^
...would anyone even know that?
December 1st, 2015 at 7:27 PM ^
It's usually rude to wish someone would "just die already," but it's OK in the case of T. Pryor. After all, he of all people knows that everybody robs people, kills people, steals from you, steals from me.
Therefore, I wish Pryor would just die already...
December 1st, 2015 at 7:36 PM ^
I'd hate to be a Brown's fan. They seem to do everything for the wrong reasons. And this is coming from a lions fan.
December 1st, 2015 at 7:54 PM ^
I'd hate to be a fan of any NFL team ever.
December 1st, 2015 at 7:36 PM ^

I still think about how rich rod era would be different if Pryor chose us over OSU

We got "in trouble" for stretching and filling out those forms wrong.
I don't want to know what would have happened if we had Prior.
The Ohio media went radio silent to limit the sanctions.
I wouldn't put it past the local media to write a fictional story (obvious precedent) dealing with Prior.
December 1st, 2015 at 8:29 PM ^
Whatever it was.
Remember, the reason that Tressell ultimately lost his job was that he found out what Pryor and crew had been doing and proceeded to lie about it.
December 1st, 2015 at 8:45 PM ^
Would having Pryor fix the defense? I doubt it. Rich Rod's recent teams have been dreadful against their top rival. He has gone 1-6 against OSU and ASU while giving up 42, 21, 37, 41, 58 and 52 points against.

Where ohio state skill players go to never use their skill.
December 1st, 2015 at 8:37 PM ^
Why am I reading a thread about a guy who made his bones evicerating Michigan teams of yesteryear? Because I'm a glutton for punishment, that's why.
December 1st, 2015 at 9:01 PM ^
And I dont give two shits about this. Not like TP is going lift the team to greatness or anything.
The funny thing is we have exactly ONE winnable game left on the schedule and it's in two weeks. Against San Fransisco.
They are the only team in the league with worse coaching than us.

Do you see the Browns drafting a QB this year? Or do they sure up something else?
Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
December 1st, 2015 at 9:46 PM ^
In the NFL unless you have your QB you have nothing. And we dont have our QB yet. Look at the Raiders this year. ONE decent draft (Mack & Carr) and they're instantly respectable.
Now the thought of the Browns getting ONE draft right is pretty far-tetched I know.
