King staging a large comeback in the D2 championship against Lowell.

Ambry Thomas scored on a 41yd pass where he cut across the entire field.

It's 31-26 Lowell due to King's in ability to kick an XP.

Posey hits LaVert Hill for his 2nd TD of the game and King back within striking distance with 5 minutes left...

Lowell hasn't stopped King in a while, either.

38-32 Lowell, XP pending. 4:42 left.

EDIT: 38-34 now. This was a 31-13 Lowell lead at one point.

pathetic calls going against Lowell.

Kid from Lowell gets his head ripped off and it's a five yard penatly.   Player from MLK gets tackled and Lowell is flagged for 15 after the kids helmet comes off from a clean hit. Holding not being called at all.

but tomorrow evening I'll be on the job photographing Chelsea in its first-ever trip to Ford Field. I'm excited for the opportunity to shoot on the field at Ford Field, but as a Chelsea guy I'm also excited to see my hometown team on the big stage.

Absolutely hilariously bad coaching by King.

They've been drawn offsides 3 times now by a fake motion play. You'd think they'd be told to not jump after the first time.

at some point its on the players to get it done.  i dont know the coaching situation there so cant really comment.  but harbaugh and his staff do a solid job of coaching yet flags have been raining down on OL and DL over past few games.  tough to blame m coaches in those type situations - dont know king coaches but im guessing the players have been coached up on the rules and realize presnap penalties can swing a possession / game

Having played on two state title MCC teams, this is how all of them have been won - our 12th state title overall, I believe.

Those were two potent offenses shut down by two skilled defenses. It was a beauty to watch, especially considering which team took the title. It was MCC's third straight.

He is a MHSAA scholar athlete and by the luck of draw got this game at Ford Field. I have never seen an ending like that in high school. I am still stunned they won.

King had about 20 guys on the field when Lowell was ready to punt for the last time and inexplicably didn't pull the trigger. One obvious snap and it's game over for Lowell. King has so many mental mistakes/penalties you wondered how they would even get back in the game, let alone win.

Oh well that's why sports are great.
