One Frame At A Time: Penn State Comment Count

Ace

I don't know what Jim Harbaugh's designated headset cord guy is paid, but it's definitely not enough.

HONORABLE MENTION

Chesson jet sweep ft. spectacular Smith cut block.

Taco sack
.

Taco TFL.

Wormley one-on-one with TE goes as expected.

Because Flickr is sometimes the absolute worst, I'm posting this now instead of waiting approximately forever for Flickr to load the rest of the Honorable Mentions so I can get the direct links. (Have I mentioned Flickr's interface is awful? It is awful.) When Flickr feels like cooperating, you can view all the GIFs in this album by clicking the stills, hitting the down arrow in the lower right corner of the next page, and selecting "view all sizes."

10. Jekyll and Hydebaugh

Harbaugh's seamless transition from calmly signaling in the next play to yelling at AJ Williams—nice try, AJ—for committing a false start is both impressive and terrifying.

I wrestled over which Harbaugh GIF to put at #10 until I remembered I don't have to stay within my self-imposed constraints. So, here's the other:

Also 10. Holding ... Defense

Split-screen technology for the win.

9. Dig It

Another week, another perfectly thrown dig route that causes two defenders to run into each other.

8. Taco Sack

Willie Henry's contribution was probably unnecessary.

7. Impromptu Worm

Cornerback, safety, tiny linebacker, running back, slot receiver, wildcat quarterback, return specialist, sideline breakdancer.

6. Infinite Flow

I apologize if you're now in a trance and don't possess the ability to scroll through the rest of the post.

5. Finding A Balance

Jourdan Lewis hadn't returned a kickoff until three weeks ago.

Michigan has some athletes.

4. BUTTDOWN

Too bad he's way too short for the NFL.

< rel="lightbox"a href="https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5709/22930159960_6fdb27443b_o.gif">All-22 view reveals he ran a great route.

3. Citizen Dang Strikes Again

NFL catch, that. Other replay angle.

2. RAGE STRIPPING

I fully expected this to be #1. As a GIF, though, I like the next one a tiny bit better, mostly because of its obvious reusability.

FRAMES OF THE GAME: WHAT EVEN

Beautiful in its simplicity. Also totally on point for this game.

From before Houma came to Ann Arbor I've been a fan of his.  Don't know why.  Just was.  And I'm so happy to see him getting playing time and exposure ... and touchdowns!!

Flow, baby ... flow.

The Jabrill doing the worm GIF is so awesomely random.

Also, Harbaugh taking off is jacket is the UM Football equivalent of Rasheed Wallace taking off his headband. Shit just got real.

The best part of the entire .gif is at the end.  Baxter is in the background looking scared to death that Harbaugh may very well kill a ref before the game is over.

The Harbaugh rage strip is great, but I can't stop watching Durkin storm back and forth behind him. It's like he wants to explode, but knows Harbaugh has it covered.

I love the last one, but the rage stripping is excellent. It's so nice having a coach who is willing to get fired up like that.

I would have elevated the Taco For-A-Loss Gif from HM to place-winner for several reasons:  First, because of the opportunity to write "Taco For-A-Loss".  Second, I love the illustration of RPS here.  The blitz causes Hack to give instead of pull on the read.  Taco is left unblocked as the option man, and he opted to squish a running-back.  Just like grape.
