Mecole Hardman Decides to Not Do Mid-Season Silent Commitment (story clarified)

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

Story per people below: Mecole Hardman -- a 5 Star Athlete (Peppers-type recruit) from Georgia ('16) -- was originally going to silent commit during the season but not tell the media who he had committed to. He's abandoned that plan because the choice has gotten harder, which is probably a good sign for Michigan since Georgia has been the favorite.

I will not be doing my silent commitment any longer!

TO CLEAR ALL RUMORS, I wasn't "silently" committed to any school!!

I hope it's a joke making light of recruiting, because if so that's rather funny.  If it's sincere, well thats funny in a different way.

This is huge. This kid is a monster 5*. I read it as "Time to announce this commitment" instead of "Decommitting from the team I'm silently committed to." Am I crazy for thinking this?

Never mind, I'm wrong. He's answering questions in the replies to his tweet. Seems like he's really seriously considering Michigan and as a result:

1) He's not a silent commit to wherever he was silently committed

2) He's announcing on signing day

3) ???

4) Michigan profit?

I'll just have to go along with this. I'd love to have him and all, BUT, if he goes Blue, that would have to be my lemon-eating moment. I'm officially confused, intrigued, and yes, a little bit hopeful . . .
