It takes a big man to admit it when he's wrong. On another note... Indiana's offense went straight ludicrous speed tonight.

This is the Rudock appreciation thread. 6td passes tonight. He did everything. Best game of his career, and boy did we need him. What a win.

but in fairness to all, rudock started slow this year but has of course wonderfully picked up speed. at the start of the year it was easy to doubt. now, he's hitting on all cylinders.
November 14th, 2015 at 8:04 PM ^
Rudock has hit his stride when we needed it. The D carried us early when Ruddock was struggling, and now that the D is flagging a bit Rudock is stepping up. Good teamwork!
November 14th, 2015 at 8:25 PM ^
I few weeks ago I was like "if Rudock can get it going, we'd look real good." Well, he has certainly got it going, but now the defense looks rough.
November 14th, 2015 at 7:56 PM ^
Absolute beast tonight. Also Chesson, wow. Just wow man
November 14th, 2015 at 9:47 PM ^
Going into this season, I thought Chesson was nothing more than a good blocking receiver. He's turned into a nice weapon and has proved me wrong.
November 14th, 2015 at 8:01 PM ^
Rudock has grown exponentially under this staff. He was the difference maker in this game.
No need to neg you...we have all been conditioned to expect the worst....it is a new team with an excellent coaching staff.
D sure missed some key players and clearly had an off day against the run, but a road win against a testy opponent is just fine with me.
November 14th, 2015 at 9:03 PM ^
My thoughts too - he was bad/medicore in the first couple of games. But he is putting in the work and listening to the coaching staff and it shows. A lot of throws he made today the recievers weren't even off there routes yet....and the deep ball looked really good too. JAKE BRADY!
November 14th, 2015 at 7:57 PM ^
Hey was money tonight! We have given him a lot of crap this year but he stepped up big every time we needed him to tonight!!

It was Rutgers and Indiana but 770 passing in 2 games. Who ever thought that Rudock would have more total yds in his best game compared to Denard's best game.
November 14th, 2015 at 7:57 PM ^
has blossomed and is a leader of this team.
November 14th, 2015 at 7:57 PM ^
throws with pressure about to hit him, IU couldn't cover but throws were on the money anyways. Was also excellent at picking his spots to scramble and finishing those runs.
November 14th, 2015 at 7:58 PM ^
I know what you mean, Carlos. But I think you deserve big upvotes for saying what a lot of people were thinking. Or should have been.

I also owe him an apology. I knew he was the best we had, but tagged him as a game manager. I genuinely feel bad. He was so good today.

Defense has bailed out Rudock all year and now he's paying them back.

the offense has done enough to win every game: 35-7, 28-7, 31-0 (and those games were over at halftime), 28-0, 38-0 (over at halftime), 23-27, 29-26, 49-16. Rudock might not have been all world in most of those games like he's been the last 2. but other than Utah he hasn't really been bad.
November 14th, 2015 at 7:59 PM ^
Rudock has won the past two games and he will have to win the next two because this team's ground game doesn't scare anyone.
November 14th, 2015 at 8:00 PM ^
Don't feel bad. I thought all year that we had a pretty good defense (especially run defense), but after watching Indiana run it up the gut without any effort all day today, I realized it was just a mirage. We're all wrong sometimes.

Our defense was definitely disappointing, a real worry going into a stretch run that features serious running games. Perhaps we get Ryan back and correct some errors and get back to a solid D again.
But if this game was the game that we needed to put Rudock under pressure to dissect the defense and execute his throws, it was worth it.
Because the game that matters is Ohio State. Even if our D is brilliant, we need to score points. That means we need Rudock to make plays. And he, out of necessity, made a ton of them today. And that encourages me at least as much going into The Game as the defense's flaws discouraged.
Because he can do it.
Beat Ohio.

He has improved so much. The criticism early in the year was fair but I am proud of where he has gotten to. Hopefully he gets his chance at an NFL tryout
