is tonight's game viewable on any channels?
November 13th, 2015 at 9:06 AM ^
I believe only BTN Plus
November 13th, 2015 at 9:06 AM ^
Mgoblue.com says only on BTN plus again.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:07 AM ^
And it looks like Monday's game will only be on watchespn.com. No TV coverage until Xavier.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:08 AM ^
I will say, well worth getting an Apple TV for the ESPN app when games are on espn3.

Or people can just connect their laptops to their TVs. Just another option.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:11 AM ^
it also be done through XBox Live? I have the ESPN App but never use it.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:14 AM ^
I've watched games before using the XBOX WatchESPN app.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:15 AM ^
to know. Tx.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:52 AM ^
The ESPN app for the xbox is really good. You can watch truly live ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU (so like sportscenter and other shows) or select games individually. Most ESPN apps only let you select the games individually.
It also puts all the college football highlights in one section which is nice. I could care less about all the other crap that sportscenter gives, but having all the college football highlights in one place is nice.
But - considering how expensive the xbox is, i would recommend Roku over any of the other players. Roku has BTN2GO app and an ESPN app. I think chromecast might have BTN too
November 13th, 2015 at 9:55 AM ^
How much less could you care? Am I to assume you care a good deal about it? Inquiring minds want to know.

couldnt*
i just realized the other day that when i try to say something is made up of other things, i would say "compromised of" instead of "comprised of". My mind was blown that i had been saying that my entire life. cool story bro
November 13th, 2015 at 12:49 PM ^
What's the relevance? This seems like a whole nuther story.
November 13th, 2015 at 10:05 AM ^
Do you have to sign in with a cable bullshit thing?
November 13th, 2015 at 10:15 AM ^
i think highlights are free but you need a cable login for the other stuff.. sling tv + antenna + xbox one (because oneguide gives you a tv guide that brings in channels from sling and antenna) is the bomb.com for cord-cutters and only 20 bucks a month.
slingtv counts as a cable option for the espn app. once slingtv adds BTN, life will be perfect. right now they only have SEC Network
November 13th, 2015 at 10:44 AM ^
for set-up downvote for saying bomb.com
November 13th, 2015 at 10:57 AM ^
touche. but i think that should have equated to no vote at all
November 13th, 2015 at 11:08 AM ^
1. Couldn't care less.
2. Comprised of - although you learned that on your own.
3. Bomb.com is somethng no one should ever say or write. Ever.
Conclusion: This blog is rad.
November 13th, 2015 at 11:22 AM ^
but I have learned this board is not rational
November 13th, 2015 at 10:56 AM ^
But am I able to play Assassin's Creed on a Roku?
I DIDN'T THINK SO. WORD.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:24 AM ^
assuming a fairly recent TV.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:11 AM ^
I was given a Roku stick and that works, too. Though I couldn't get the BTN app to work for last week's game.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:36 AM ^
also, the roku watchespn app works very well.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:40 AM ^
Chromecast is another option.
November 13th, 2015 at 10:36 AM ^
much cheaper
November 13th, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
I have both and they are about the same price - $25 - $35. I prefer Roku. Both have the ability to screen miror from a tablet or phone. I have only done it a bit and it was kludgy.
Watch ESPN on Roku works great, not sure about B1G.
November 14th, 2015 at 12:01 AM ^
Ugh hate watchespn as its unavailable in Canada. Still haven't seen the beginning of the football game at Minnesota thanks to okie state and Texas tech.

shit.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:09 AM ^
She can channel ANYTHING.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:10 AM ^
BTN Plus is a horse shit money grab service brought to us by the Big Ten. I pay to have the BTN on satellite, but I can't watch this game unless I pay more for their online streaming service. If I am already paying for BTN, I should not have to sign up for a monthly subscription to watch us play against Northern Michigan.
I hate ESPN, but at least I don't have to pay extra to use the ESPN3/Watch ESPN.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:12 AM ^
I totally agree that the Plus thing is bull shit. I cannot believe there are actually people out there paying for it. Clearly there are people paying for it because otherwise it would not exist.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:20 AM ^
How did you watch the games in Australia?
November 13th, 2015 at 9:40 AM ^
There are (or perhaps were at this point, as I haven't been to Sydney for about five years) some bars and pubs that show American sports.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:13 AM ^
So you have Dish or DirecTV? With DirecTV you can login to BTN Plus. I know you couldn't for a long time, but I'm 99% sure they added it before I moved and lost DirecTV.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:28 AM ^
You can login to BTN2GO with your satellite provider, but not BTN Plus. You have to pay something like $80 for the year for your team or $10 a month for BTN Plus.
Es ist ein Haufen Scheiße!
November 13th, 2015 at 9:31 AM ^
Last week's game was on BTN Plus and I was able to login with my TV credentials, even though the website says you need a BTN Plus subscription. But I have comcast now.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:46 AM ^
I didn't try last week since I was at the game, but that does not work for me. When I sign in with my DirecTV credentials I get access to BTN2GO. In the top right corner of that page there is a picture of a padlock that says BTN Plus Content Sign In or Subscribe.
From the available games schedule page it shows the game tonight is locked without a BTN Plus subscription: http://www.btn2go.com/schedule?sids=MBK
November 13th, 2015 at 9:45 AM ^
No. Last week's game was on BTN and available on BTN2Go to anyone who receives BTN through their cable provider. It was not a BTN Plus broadcast.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:51 AM ^
Not according to the BTN website or mgoblue.com. http://www.btn2go.com/schedule?date=2015-11-06
November 13th, 2015 at 10:19 AM ^
I was able to watch it with a Dish password without subscribing to BTN Plus
November 13th, 2015 at 11:48 AM ^
Didn't do anything to get past it. Stream just worked the same as watching any other game on btn2go.
November 13th, 2015 at 11:58 AM ^
that might have been because of it being an exhibition game. I'm not going to get my hopes up for tonight.
November 13th, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
LOL. That cost, though. That's ridiculous. I just cannot understand why anyone would pay that. It's not a lot of money, rather it's just the principle of the matter.
November 13th, 2015 at 12:01 PM ^
What is true of the BTN is sadly true with a lot of other things when it comes to getting certain content, but I have to agree that it is a load of shit and particularly with BTN Plus, I would assume...well...Jemand in den Kopf geschissen und vergessen umzurühren.
November 13th, 2015 at 3:02 PM ^
All German language usage gets an Upvote.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:17 AM ^
Just another reason the current TV format can't last. My prediction is that TV eventually goes the Google route. You will be able to get everything for free, and the networks will generate revenue through advertising and collecting our personal information.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:11 AM ^
Someone will have a stream on first row sports or one of those other streaming sites.
November 13th, 2015 at 9:28 AM ^
The quality is just awful.
November 13th, 2015 at 10:59 AM ^
Awful - yes
Better than nothing - yes
