We have a trough (think of it as a stretched out area of low pressure) along with some extra energy in the upper atmosphere that will work together to keep some cloud cover over the mitten Saturday. Although it's a small chance, a few raindrops in the afternoon can't be ruled out. And it's going to feel a lot more like a November football game thanks to a strong cold front that passed through Friday morning. Winds will stay out of the west, so we'll have to factor in a bit of a wind chill too. 

Tailgating

Some sun if you're up and ready to tailgate early! It will be chilly though - temps will be right around 40 degrees with winds out of the west at 10mph (enough to keep leaves blowing about - so keep a rock on the napkins). Winds will start to pick up around mid-morning, gusting around 20mph. They then remain out of the west, steady in the upper teens (small branches move) and gusting into the mid 20s. We keep some clouds, and introduce the chance of a sprinkle or two around lunchtime, when temps hit the low 50s. 

Kickoff

A mix of sun and clouds to start our game! 52 degrees for the beginning, with west winds at nearly 20mph, gusting into the mid 20s (empty plastic garbage cans may tip over). This is where they'll stay for the first half.

Halftime

Temps fall quickly with that sun setting at around 5:30 now! We'll be down a few degrees for the start of the second half. WNW Winds will start to drop off a bit, holding steady at about 15mph, gusting into the low 20s. This will have it feeling like the low 40s with the wind chill. Hot chocolate anyone?

Post-Game

A chilly night in store for us! WNW winds will be around 15mph, still gusting near 20mph leaving the game after the win. Although the thermometer may read 45, the wind chill will have it feeling like the upper 30s! Partly cloudy skies will stay with us throughout the evening, clearing out more and more into the late-night. Winds lighten too - we lose the gusts after dinner, and steady winds are down to about 10mph as we approach midnight. If you're staying out late to celebrate, you might want the heavier jacket! With clearing skies, temps fall to near 30 degrees, and even though it's a lighter NW wind, it'll still give us a wind chill of 25 degrees! Brrr! Let's get this win!
