I'd bet the Anoka Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitor's Bureau is behind that ludicrous load of crap.

"It was not until mass Irish and Scottish immigration in the 19th century that Halloween became a major holiday in America. Confined to the immigrant communities during the mid-19th century, it was gradually assimilated into mainstream society and by the first decade of the 20th century it was being celebrated coast to coast by people of all social, racial and religious backgrounds. "In Cajun areas, a nocturnal Mass was said in cemeteries on Halloween night. Candles that had been blessed were placed on graves, and families sometimes spent the entire night at the graveside."

Luckily my kids are young... 2 and 4, and it's supposed to rain.  So we will be done well before kickoff.  (and they trick or treated on Main St. today)

Can the Jug be flown back on the Delta charter as a carry-on?

Also, I'm currently at work haplessly trying to accomplish ANYTHING.  Football seems like a distant memory.   Can't wait for kickoff tomorrow.

This is me tomorrow evening:

GET OFF MY PORCH, KIDS!  I'M WATCHING THE GAME!

Halloween plans in this neck of the woods are in a state of flux because of the weather forecast at the moment, which actually does bode well for me catching the entire game as opposed to missing part of the first quarter potentially. It really isn't my kids I worry about though because they aren't nearly as intrepid as the other kids on the street, so it is interruptions that concern me more now. I might have to put the "Game In Progress - Please Try Next Halloween" out.

There are like 15 houses in my neighborhood and we are out in the middle of nowhere, not to mention no street lights and no sidewalks so we don't have trick or treaters thank gawd.

So, no problem there.  The weather forecast has been fluid and it now looks like rain will end late afternoon, so the timing is perfect for masses of kids when the game starts.  We also have lots of decorations and a smoke machine, so that brings them in, too.  Wife will be handling the candy bowl while I watch the game.  She's a keeper.  Go Blue!  Reclaim the jug!

Strangely seeing a few people celebrating Halloween down here in S Africa. But there's also Christmas decorations out while it's turning to summer so this is a strange place.

is a serious obstacle to my viewing the game live tomorrow night. DVR delay just isn't the same. Do I trick or treat with my nine year old or watch the game with my old man? I'm leaning toward the later as he's alive only so long and there's always therapy for the kid.

So ready to get that taste out of my mouth.

Wife trick or treating with the kids and I'm sitting in the garage passing out candy. TV in the garage on ESPN watching Michigan dominate. Can't wait to see this defense play again.

It's my sister in law. Thanks to the fact she has decided to grace her family with her presence tomorrow, a normally low key fun holiday has turned into a big to-do. How dare I try to break away from a rare sighting of her highness to watch a mere football game?

I will do more than try, I will succeed.

Cut those people out of your life. Follow your passion and youll be connected with other goal orientated, passionate people unconcerned with burdensome, petty obligations like dealing with a tyrannical SIL.
Or just call her a cunt, and the situation should take care of itself.

I'll miss the game until 8:00, trick or treating with kids.  I'm pissed that they moved the start time to 7:00.  At 8:00 I would have been good.  I'll be checking scores at every house with my head down staring at my phone like one of "those" parents.
