Inside the Parker!

I was at Buffalo WW's finiishing my 6th Ghost Pepper wing. The tear that was coming out of my left eye clouded what was happening....I heard people cheering, but was not fully aware of what was going on. Plus pain.
October 27th, 2015 at 10:23 PM ^
but damn those new Salt and Vinegar dry rub wings are good.
October 27th, 2015 at 10:31 PM ^
3 Favorite flavors: 1. Hot BBQ 2. Ghost Pepper 3. Caribbean Jerk. Tried the dry rub about a year ago and wasn't feelin' it. I'll try it again on your recommendation. Also: so excited that the local Atlanta BWW's started serving Two Hearted on tap! Lived in WA for a decade and was deprived. So good when it's fresh!

This is going to be great. Firing all the Mets.

I turned it on; heard the national anthem messed up "for(?!?!?) the land of the free" and a dumb joe buck quote "Let's look at these two teams; they're the two best teams that are left" I turned it off.
October 27th, 2015 at 9:13 PM ^
Thought so.
October 27th, 2015 at 10:38 PM ^
Not at all
October 27th, 2015 at 10:39 PM ^
They are simply the only two teams that are left.
October 28th, 2015 at 12:08 AM ^
Joe Buck yourself.
October 27th, 2015 at 8:34 PM ^
That's what I'm talking about! (But didn't want to start a thread). Early lead for the Pistons in Atlanta. At least I think those are the Pistons. Stanley Johnson just got his first couple minutes in...
Bulls-Cavs game looked stagnant.
Edit: Yep, those are the Pistons. Hawks just went on a 10-0 run or so to tie it at the end of the 1st.

I bet ESPN is pissed!

Still amazing to me that KC is a world series team. They've been a laughingstock most of my life
October 27th, 2015 at 8:45 PM ^
Interesting that this is the first WS without an original team present.
Stanley for 3!!
Alright, go Mets. I guess.

First WS matchup of expansion era teams. (1961 IIRC)

That should not have been credited as a home run, the ball hit Cespedes' arm as he made a half-assed attempt to catch it. Should have been a fairly routine out.
October 27th, 2015 at 8:43 PM ^
Kinda weird not seeing Monroe out there for the Pistons. Besides losing, he was the only thing consistent with the franchise over the last 5 years.

The Royals are saying that Edinson Volquez does not know about his father's reported death.

Hopefully they talked to someone in his family about it.
October 27th, 2015 at 8:57 PM ^
is someone gonna tell him or just let him continue to play on national TV where everyone knows his father is dead but him. Because that seems a little shitty
October 27th, 2015 at 8:59 PM ^
ESPN is reporting that he learned of it shortly before starting the game.

That is so ESPN. His family did not want him notified until after he left the game. ESPN's reporting is wrong as usual. Back to Tebow, LeBron, and Michael Sam.

Go Huron/Eagles/Normalites!
October 27th, 2015 at 9:08 PM ^
As a Braves fan (I know they suck) I can't root for the Mets. Go Royals!

I miss John Rocker coming to Queens, taking the 7 train and engaging in some amateur cultural anthropology. The rivalry was a lot more fun back then.

Can't start a thread, but Jordan Elliott (Top50 kid) really seems like a Michigan commit based on his twitter.. Neg away..
October 27th, 2015 at 9:27 PM ^
Not sure how to interpret his "Maize and Blue" tweet. It also appears he was just named an Army All-American. Would love to have him even if it causes whiplash.
October 27th, 2015 at 9:31 PM ^
difficulties take away Joe Buck!
October 27th, 2015 at 9:39 PM ^
Yes! I like this Fox international team, not nearly as obnoxious.
October 27th, 2015 at 10:15 PM ^
It's the regular MLB Network broadcast team and they're 100x better than Buck, Reynolds and Verducci. Can someone pull the Fox plug again?
October 27th, 2015 at 10:34 PM ^
They are good. They said something about doing the international broadcast tonight, perhaps there are national security restrictions on exporting the Joe Buck phenomenon.

Not watching baseball with my Cubbies out. Playing Halo 4 on the 360 and crying about how awesome Halo 5 looks, but it's only on the Xbox One. Go Royals though. Beat the Mets!

Yeah, I wanted to start a, "what are you doing instead of watching the word series" thread, but didn't think it would fly. I have somehow found my self watching "The Wedding Singer".

Great way to start!

October 27th, 2015 at 11:05 PM ^
Damn you Clippard - went to the A's from the Nats, and then traded to the friggin' Mets (my mom loves him, though :( )

LA FAMILIA!

October 27th, 2015 at 11:24 PM ^
Close. Should have slid head first.
October 27th, 2015 at 11:30 PM ^
It was lazy on the baserunner's part, and the throw was bad too.
October 27th, 2015 at 11:35 PM ^
Maybe lazy, maybe caution due to the spinal stenosis.
October 27th, 2015 at 11:23 PM ^
On other note steph curry is absolutely unreal. 22 points in the 1st quarter
