Mark Snyder Interviews for the LB Coach at Mich?

Submitted by CincyBlue on
http://footballcoachscoop.com/Scoop.html Is reporting that Mark Snyder former head coach at Marshall interviewed with RR at the Coaches Association meeting in Orlando on Sunday. I don't know if this site is legit or not, but it would seem to make sense that Mark and RR know each other from their time in West Virginia. Mark Snyder from the Freep had no comment............

Haha, this could be a brilliant move. There is no way the Freep Mark Snyder would be able to slander any other member of the "Mark Snyder Club".

After all, once upon a time Bo Schembechler was considered one of Woody's boys and his logical successor. I do agree that the step "down" from HC to position coach seems a bit more dramatic than you normally see. Aside from all that, his record indicates he's probably a pretty good position coach, and his solid Ohio background would aid in recruiting that state.

He was a LB coach at YSU and eventually promoted to DC there. He was a DC at Minnesota and then left there to become the DC at OSU for 4 years, leaving for Marshall in 2005. He seems to have a pretty decent track record on the defensive side of the ball, but so did Scott Shafer. At least he has some LB experience in his past. All info gathered from Wikipedia, by the way, so it's guaranteed to be spot-on.

I live 5 minutes away from Marshall, and Snyder is sort of a big joke around here. That being said Marshall fans are very ignorant. He was very good at OSU, So lets bring him in.
