AP Poll: Michigan ranked #15
October 18th, 2015 at 2:09 PM ^
Seems about right. Two close losses, one on a fluke play, to top 10 teams. Not bad.

after the game last night... Mr. T said it best as to what the rest of the Big Team East should expect when they play Michigan this season.
October 18th, 2015 at 4:37 PM ^
agree 100%
October 18th, 2015 at 2:13 PM ^
I'm surprised. Not because I think Michigan deserved to fall into the 20's but because of our two losses.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:16 PM ^
.......we should say UofM has one and a half losses.
October 18th, 2015 at 4:28 PM ^
Agreed. That shields great respect. Deserved.

I don't know whether or not to post a thread for this, but F*** Mark Dantonio: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AmLiNycmFlA

It's ok. Harbaugh will leave no doubt next year.

We lose a lot of talent after this season, let's not get to far ahead of ourselves.
October 18th, 2015 at 6:34 PM ^
Have you seen what Sparty loses next year? We will blow the doors off next year in EL
October 18th, 2015 at 6:55 PM ^
we lose Rudock (and gain O'korn), Houma, Kerridge, Graham Glasgow, Ojemudia, Bolden, Jenkins-Stone, Morgan, Ross, and Blake O'neill
the depth at fullback and linebacker is thin, but this is probably less turnover than any other B1G team, and we don't lose any of our most important talent except for O'neill, who is the best punter in the B1G
we are looking mighty good for next year, if you ask me, but this season is still looking pretty good itself
October 18th, 2015 at 8:33 PM ^
Jourdan Lewis? Jake Butt? Willie Henry?
October 18th, 2015 at 8:43 PM ^
I've heard some chatter about Lewis, but mostly that he's too undersized. Haven't heard anything about Butt or Henry.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:15 PM ^
signs point to "no"
October 18th, 2015 at 2:16 PM ^
Someone already started a thread for this and was negged appropriately.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:23 PM ^
Who cares? He has every right to say that. Every year we go into this game 5-0 4-1 overhyped by the media only to be beaten. IDC how.
Msu is overlooked every year. Dantonio does it again. Who cares. He can. He won.
Mike Harts comments forever in infamy...
October 18th, 2015 at 3:24 PM ^
Your post doesn't make sense. If Dantonio can say whatever he wants because he won, why shouldn't Hart say whatever he wanted? He was 4-0 vs State. He can call them whatever he wants - he won.
October 18th, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
Hart's comments were way beyond anything anyone ever said about MSU to the media. Especially a player of all people.
Makes sense he would pick on lowly MSU since OSU had his breakfast, lunch and dinner every year.
If you don't see how those comments paired with Dantonio's "pride before the fall" comments are eternally huge eggs on UM's face, then idk what to tell you.
October 18th, 2015 at 5:00 PM ^
Mork gonna mork
October 18th, 2015 at 6:37 PM ^
Since no one around the nation cares about MSU, the only people that care about that are Mark Dantonio and Michigan State fans trying to make their team relevant
October 18th, 2015 at 2:14 PM ^
Not that big of a drop.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:14 PM ^
MSU should have fallen a spot or two but oh well. They wont win in columbus, and we're still very much in the conf title and playoff hunt
October 18th, 2015 at 2:17 PM ^
Big ten title hunt, yes. Playoff hunt, no way. I mean, just to get to the title game, we need to win out and MSU needs to lose twice. OSU will beat them, but I do not think they will lose another one outside of that game.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:29 PM ^
Big ten champ will make the playoffs regardless.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:19 PM ^
Conference title perhaps but I am highly skeptical a 2 loss team makes it into the playoffs. MSU has to play @OSU and @Nebraska (sprinkle in a pesky Indiana and Penn State squad) so the potential for 2 losses is certainly there, though I would say unlikely. But as we have seen unlikely things do sometimes happen. Of course we have to take care of business by winning out, no easy task:
October 18th, 2015 at 2:38 PM ^
I think Sparty is ripe for an upset next weekend against Indiana. The Hoosiers have proven they can score points and MSU could have a hangover after such a crazy win over us.
Go Hoosiers
October 18th, 2015 at 2:42 PM ^
Nate Sudfeld got me 40 points on DK ... Dude can throw... Hopefully he actually lights up the MSU secondary.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:18 PM ^
Playoff hunt? Doubt it
October 18th, 2015 at 2:19 PM ^
M is on the outside looking in. MSU needs to lose to OSU and one of Indiana, Nebraska, Maryland and Penn State, and then M needs to run the table.
It's possible, but I can't imagine the numbers look good. Rose Bowl is still on the table with a 7-1 record though.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:22 PM ^
I am so praying it happens. That would be a vindication for us. Hope it happens.
October 18th, 2015 at 3:04 PM ^
7-1 gets us the division of we're ranked higher than MSU and within 1 spot of OSU

Despite the fact that this doesn't really matter, this makes me feel much better because it confirms that objective, dispassionate viewers saw what I hoped was true: that Michigan and MSU were roughly equally talented teams and MSU won what was essentially a toss-up game on a freak play.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:15 PM ^
Not a bad drop at all. Voters are in tune with what happened. Now let's focus on further player development during the bye week and winning out.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:16 PM ^
If the CFP Rankings coerrelate close to the AP Rankings, UM might be ranked higher than OSU was at the same point last year.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:16 PM ^
As shitty as the fluke play was, it had so much press that the voters could not ignore the fact that Michigan had the game won. Whereas they usually just vote based on the final score, they were all informed of the lucky Spartan win at UM, hence we did not drop like a rock.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:18 PM ^
We don't have much of a case for being ranked ahead of any of the teams above us, and I think we'd beat any of the teams below us more often than not. Oklahoma has been all over the place this year.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:19 PM ^
I was very worried about Penn State until last night. This is setting up very nicely for Michigan to be 9-2 going into the OSU game. If we are, then we should be just inside the top 10 and could have a very classic matchup on our hands.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:20 PM ^
MSU beats the 12 team on the road and doesn't move at all LOL. Good to know the rest of the country is not fooled by that fluke.
October 18th, 2015 at 5:37 PM ^
"Disrespectful"
October 18th, 2015 at 2:21 PM ^
Wow. I am surprised. After beating a ranked team, MSU does not move up. That shows what everyone who saw the game understood what happened. We stayed in the top 15 shows how highly we are regarded in the media. Pretty cool first year for Harbaugh.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:21 PM ^
Just keep winning. On to Minnesota. I can't wait to see this team play under the lights on Halloween.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:22 PM ^
it was a devastating way to lose because they didn't make a play so much as we made it for them, but if we can win our next four, then The Game offers an opportunity to put yesterday behind us. And FWIW, I think OSU will rough up MSU pretty good, so that will be nice.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:23 PM ^
Agree !

But I will say that OSU should be pretty worn out physically and emotionally when they travel to Ann Arbor. Two physical games in a row.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:33 PM ^
A positive, seems like dymonte Thomas is kind of falling into place, I thought he played pretty good yesterday and for the season for the most part. Great athlete who seems to be improving

Noticed that as well. He looks to be coming into his own as the season goes on. He made plays yesterday and against NU last week. It'll definitely be nice having him for the rest of this season and next.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:34 PM ^
Some of my family members believe we lost on that play because durning college game day they had a picture of Christ and Harbaugh... This has gotten insane
October 18th, 2015 at 2:36 PM ^
I did not like that.
October 18th, 2015 at 2:37 PM ^
To be honest I didn't either.
October 18th, 2015 at 3:08 PM ^
Me neither but that's not why we lost.
