when Fitzgerald decided to try for a fg on 4th and 1yd instead of going for it. That was their one chance to make this a game, and they didn't take it. From there on, the coaching mismatch was one massive metal pole beating Northwestern until they were an unrecognizeable bloody mess.

Elite.

Same D as last year minus 2 NFL players and Countess and Mone plus Peppers.  Are you kidding me.

AJ Williams trying for a Heisman?

OL looking good.

Etc

just a great group of coaches.

Where would we be had Brandon pursued Harbaugh before they hired Hoke. Would we have a title already? I believe we would. Hell...the way we are going we may get one this year!

Truth talk: Did you actually watch any of the games I mentioned, much less the 1997 PSU game, when they occurred?

Don't get me wrong--1997 PSU was great. But that's not the only time in the last 20 years Michigan came out completely dominant in what was supposed to be a slugfest. 2003 ND in particular--we pretty much derailed Ty Willingham's coaching career on that one.

When Ross stopped by on the way out and say something to Fitzgerald and Pat pats him. That shows the class of both Pat and Ross. It is coaching and I am so glad we have HARBAUGH.

My wife, who, bless her heart, knows nothing about football, doesn't care about winning, and judges coaches solely on how nice they seem (and hence loved Brady Hoke) thought that was the highlight of the game and started coming around on Harbaugh because of the show off class.

On a serious note, I gotta wonder if Harbaugh is going to get fined like Beckman did for being caught on BTN spitting out a gigantic stream of tobacco juice before the second half.

To each their own, but man is it a disgusting habit.

We're back. Old rules are in effect again: You roll a bunch of two- and three-star kids out there against Michigan, you get rolled. Don't care how gritty and overachieving they are.

I think we by far have the best staff in the country. They may adjustments if needed and constantly are throwing different looks out at opposing teams. It was either Brian or ace that pointed out they put these different looks out there and then don't use them the next game. Teams then have wasted time practicing against a look Michigan doesn't use. Genius.

On the radio post game, Chesson said they'd seen on film that NW didn't protect the weak side on kickoffs. Watch his TD again - the blocking is set up right from the beginning to feint forward then head weak side. Baxter RPS +3.

Got some hot takes coming from MSU fans already about Harbaugh having starters in to close out the game, and how Dantonio would never do that.

Harbaugh doesn't seem to have a choice. It'd be nice to have a program that isn't in transition, but this is what we have with the depth on the roster--and it's working. It may not be the most comfortable thing when you think about how an injury could backfire, but I'll take it if it means having a game completely and totally in hand.
