that Texas is not featured this week.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:16 PM ^
I was certain after last week we were going to have (despite his saying Texas wasn't featured up front) an ANGRY TEXAS FAN ALERT halfway through.
That cracked me up so much, he should keep doing it all season for every Texas loss.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:27 PM ^
in the Nebraska part of the post and I think that I agree...Charlie Strong would be a better fit at Nebraska than Riley.
October 7th, 2015 at 5:01 PM ^
That Charlie strong actually ends up at Nebraska and resurrects that program with a burning desire to find a way to play Texas OOC and smoke them.
October 7th, 2015 at 5:47 PM ^
Their timelines don't match up. Besides, what's so bad about Nebraska getting better?
October 7th, 2015 at 5:57 PM ^
A lot of things. Let them be a smoldering dumpster fire!

For some reason I'm always amazed at how racist some fans can be. I should expect it at this point. Especially from the ND fan base.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:05 PM ^
fist biter but that less turnover comment made me wince. What an ass hat.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:14 PM ^
I expected someone from Ole Miss or Georgia to say that not ND.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:16 PM ^
Not surprised one bit. Lived in South Bend for a while unfortunately. ND is VERY whitey/Catholicy/flaming racisty.
October 7th, 2015 at 5:16 PM ^
seemed more Northern racist than Southern racist. I think there is a difference between the two.
I assume the guy was being snarky but still it was in very poor taste.
October 7th, 2015 at 6:57 PM ^
That ND fan shouldn't be allowed to post in public. OTOH, THIS ND fan should be invited to MGoBlog:
"I feel like I'm locked in a 5 Stages of Grieving looped tape of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross and look around this small room with no window and no doors and Sartre taps out a message from an adjoining cell that reads "No...Exit."

The Nebraska AD sabotage conspiracy is insane. Oh Nebraska!!!
October 7th, 2015 at 4:12 PM ^
As last week's former-Texas-AD-using-buyout-money-to-pay-refs-for-revenge conspiracy, but good in it's own right.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:14 PM ^
Is the jump to racism a quick one for vocal portions of the Notre Dame fanbase? I just always thought they blamed it on being screwed by the refs.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:18 PM ^
The video montage of Georgia fans in the rain was great. And so was the numbered list of "things I'd rather do than watch this game". Dr. Evil would like the shorn scrotum choice.
October 7th, 2015 at 5:17 PM ^
That list was fabulous - UGA wins today!

At last the hiring of Mike Riley makes sense. How could I have been so naïve?
October 8th, 2015 at 8:34 AM ^
It's the only possible way it does make sense.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:25 PM ^
UGAcil for the win, pure gold. I love the Nebraska conspiracy theory. That's awesome. If he does get the job, we heard it there first
October 7th, 2015 at 4:34 PM ^
I would absolutely love it if it happens. This poor bastard from Nebraska will be vindicated and can finally take off that tin foil hat.
October 7th, 2015 at 4:28 PM ^
Ok answer honestly, who didn't expect the poll result at the bottom to be skewed so far in the direction they are?
October 7th, 2015 at 4:28 PM ^
Oh My God the Nebraska AD Conspiracy Theory post is one of the best I've ever seen on TWIS. That is an immediate Hall of Famer.

Honestly, this is one of the few times I'd really like to see Phork make an appearance here....
October 7th, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
I didn't like the way Clemson got to enter the field through the tunnel with the ramp while we were made to shuffle in quietly off to the side. I wish Kelly would have marched the team in right down the middle of that ramp and put the chip on our guy's shoulders and punched them in the mouth like he said we needed too.
This complaint is somehow classically ND. I laughed.
"We had to enter from the visitor's locker room and endure some theatrics that didn't involve us. Not fair."

Norte Dame proved once again they can always be counted on for some ignorant racial shit. Fucking losers.

For all the "Walverine" guff we get from our friends in EL, I doubt there is a college team with more Non-Alum fans than ND. I sincerely hope this stuff is coming from them and not ND grads.
October 7th, 2015 at 6:01 PM ^
Which comments are from know-it-all grad fans, and which are from SULLY FROM BOSTON. Sully would have gotten his GED but the protctor was a fackin' BLEEPie. The know it all grad fans go on and on about IQ and not being smart enough to be Notre Dame's coach, while not understanding basic game theory.
October 7th, 2015 at 8:17 PM ^
While I hate Notre Dame as a rival I don't think it's fair to paint their entire fan base with terms like racist over the post of the lone idiot on that web page.
October 8th, 2015 at 8:37 AM ^
Why not? They call us arrogant when it's just me.

Georgia Montage was awesome. In elevator with Rosie O'Donnel was very funny.
ND fans crying was delicious. I want to Texas again next week. May be it won't happen and they will win?
I have to say some of those fans are creepy and sad
NEB conspiracy was epic.
October 7th, 2015 at 9:15 PM ^
plays Oklahoma this weekend. So, no they won't win and I'm sure thats why they held off on twis for Texas. This weekend should be epic.
October 7th, 2015 at 9:16 PM ^
I think the ND folks complaining about going for two on the first TD when you know you need two TDs, one with a 2pt, are wrong actually, and, I can't believe I'm finding myself having to say it, Kelly was right. You try for 2 on the first one, because if you fail then you know and you have time to try for the extra score. If you wait til the second TD & you fail then, you're dead. It's one of the calls most coaches get wrong, according to the analytics. (Pulling goalie later than should, not going for it on 4th down nearly enough, and bunting--like almost ever, i.e. U should almost never bunt)

Comes from fans who picked it up from the announcer. I recall him mentioning that at the end of the game - "if he hadn't gone for two before, now he could just kick the extra point to force overtime" or something like that. They're despondent and trying to rationalize what just happened, so they latch on to the easy explanation. Conveniently placed in their lap by TV guy. Of course, at the time Kelly went for two, same TV guy explained how logical it was. Easy to forget that while you're experiencing 'disaster.'
October 7th, 2015 at 11:41 PM ^
In this comparison his going for 2 the first time would be more akin to pulling your goalie 5 minutes into the 3rd period when down 2.
