I thought I read on here Mathis saying his pick was going to be a "surprise?" If it is Oregon, I would call that a foregone conclusion. Thoughts?

That pick would not surprise anyone.

That was simply an opinion from a few recruiting guys (one each that I saw from Rivals & ESPN). I'd be shocked if he picked anyone but Oregon.

it was reported that Dior said his pick would surprise people, not an analyst saying he thought Dior would surprise people with his selection?

Kenny Shaw said he was "going to shock the world" with his announcement. Everybody expected him to choose FSU, and that was his choice indeed. Just the nature of the game.

Make sure you watch this guy. I know he's a punter, but we need someone good to replace Zoltan.

Maybe we can make a Hagerup cheer like the Boiler Up! Purdue cheer, like Hager Up!
or not because the Boiler up cheer is the absolute worst ever.

Example:
It might not seem that bad, but I've been to a game at the swamp and they do it over and over and over..... Pure torture.

The best part is the drunk dude who seems to have the cheer completely wrong (*hoping that's not you*)

Did a five year old come up with that?

Shamefully I think my countries national hockey team chant is the worst (though I didn't hear anyone actually using it during the world juniors thank goodness).....Eh Oh Canada Go.
What a disaster.

If Florida somehow gets Elam back and then gains commitments from Powell & Floyd or even one of the two their class is the most ridiculous that I can remember in recent years. Their defense will not be slowing down for years to come. And what they were lacking this year - WR's - gets much stronger with Debose coming back off injury and incoming players like Dunkley.

I'm a bit surprised why a good CB would want to go to Oregon. There were a few articles out before the bowl game saying how Oregon is all about offense, and the best defense the team has is to keep the offense on the field. Maybe playing time and all that, but at least Michigan (supposedly) has had a strong emphasis on defense in the past. This of course assumes we're recruiting him hard and giving him the top sales pitch.

Didn't exactly have a bad year in Buffalo. Almost led the league in INT's. Patrick Chung has seen a fair share of playing time in New England as well. Both secondary guys coming out of Oregon.

dior being a surprise would be nice. it seems like he lost interest in us when the problems with boo boo started. now that it seems like he's back on board...maybe he is as well. maybe thats why we backed off grimes/murphy!?
just a thought.
