Open BCS Championship Bowl Game Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

Will Texas pull another big upset in the biggest game (please please please)? Will the great Satan win his 2nd at his 2nd SEC school? How glad are we that we're done with Fox? And will Denise from Taco Bell join us on ABC? All these questions and more will be answered during tonight's game. Here's to us not watching the game and commenting on it here in the near future because we're all AT the game, watching a much more likable team. :-)

He's shitfaced. Out of control. Bombed.

I'm sorry; I count myself among the small group that likes and appreciates the old Indiana coach. But this is not gonna be good for Lee.

I thought he was really funny when he put the Duck head on.

It shows how little ABC/ESPN I watched this year. I was outside in Ann Arbor for all of our home games, and away from t.v. for three of the road games.

Sincere apologies to Lee. (For the next time he's reading MGoBlog.)

Sadly, I think it has gotten worse as the season has gone on. I haven't personally seen any cases that regress, only improvement, but I have notice that this bowl season he seems worse than he did at the beginning of the season, where I thought he had made an amazing recovery. (See the slow progression Dick Clark has made with a more severe stroke. And DC HAS looked better each year).

Your team is beating essentially half a team, so please try to tone down the suffocating arrogance you'd normally unleash after a major bowl victory. Just compile all the excuses you'd be making if Bama lost Ingram and apply them to Texas.

He was really sounding bad there right after the half. It sounded like he was having a stroke. Slurring it seemed like...but, now he seems ok.

STFU. The shovel pass was not a bad call. It's actually a really safe play call. the execution of it sucked. But would corso be going ballistic if they called a run and the kid fumbled?

But it boils down to this: Colt McCoy out.

Game over.

Who does Colin Ferguson have on tonight?

Hey Pete: you are a phony fuck. How many cheerleaders have you boinked?

CUT! GO TO COMMERCIAL!

Hi, Denise? About your burrito...

Does anyone think Pete Carroll is doing a "personal PR" campaign by doing the halftime show? The writing is on the wall IMO.

Went over to Burntorangenation.com to peek at the threads. I'm very glad we moderate the game threads for Michigan games. I worked for the Ohio State game and seeing that makes me glad Brian has moderators.

Steve Smith is nailed by Don Rodgers and put out of the 1983 Rose Bowl.

In steps freshman Dave hall and UM plays a prety damn good game and only loses to UCLA 24-14.

Bo Schembechler didn't win a whole lot of Rose Bowls, but The Man could rally the troops under duress.

Gabbert isn't even playing that bad. Maybe if somebody could make a catch when the pass is dead on, they'd be in better shape. One Unit hasn't played this bad in a national championship since Ohio State's offensive line.

It's amazing how you take a quarterback off a loaded, deep team, and they look like shit. Myopically speaking, seeing another example of how important the college QB is in football has me much more excited about us moving forward.
