Haters gon' hate.

No more of my energy to this point.

My experience is fraught with people who refuse to believe what they've seen.

Rather, believing what they 'know'.

You know what you know, and I know what I know.

When the dialogue turns to this theme down the road, I'll be validated.

I see no reason to wait for them to sleep. They should all be awake to experience it.

And for every one telling me to slow down and wait till we beat MSU and OSU to believe this team is good, to hell with that. I am not going to wait until the season is over to believe in those kids, even if they lose I know they will be play a tough respectable game. I plan to be arrogant and troll our rivals, I am going to enjoy this while it is happening, not after. Doing it their way is cool too i suppose

I can't find any reason not to believe. They're on a mission and until it's over, I believe they can do anything they set their minds to.  Michigan's steadily improving and innovating while some of the so-called "unbeatable" teams on our schedule have shown the chinks in their armor early. I count no "L" as a 100% sure thing this year, based on what I've seen.

I loved yesterday, but I am also realistic. Michigan still has a lot to prove and much room for improvement. Rudock really really needs to start hitting deep balls if Michigan is going to beat MSU.

Even when we were winning under RichRod in September of 2009 and '10, we had huge red flags on the defensive side of the ball.  We were giving up 37 to UMass and needing last-minute drives to beat Indiana (twice!).   There was a smoke-and-mirrors aspect to our winning that I don't see now.  I see us controlling the line of scrimmage against teams.  That's where games are won, and it's exciting to see.

You may be right. You know what would be fun. If we actually take it to them on the ground and beat them down. And short passes from Rudock. I don't know if we need deep ball to beat them. I am expecting our running game to be way better than what we had against those guys. On the other side, I do not expect them to run against us.

If I were a rival B1G coach I'd be very afraid.  Harbaugh takes no prisoners and if he senses you're an asshole (Pete Carroll) he will make it his personal mission in life to destroy you on the field.  Games are life and death to JH.  Each time they take the field the opposing team must be crushed.  This is a guy who believes the more pain and suffering his team endures the more he can inflict on YOU.

Harbaugh is a force of nature that is relentless, never gives up and feeds off competition the way a storm feeds off wind and static energy.  He doesn't get tired and probably sleeps in  khakis waiting for 4:30 am to come around so he can get back to work.

Who would want to have competition like this?  Not to mention Harbaugh is a savant whose very DNA was twisted in the shape of a football by God.

I almost feel sorry for the B1G...the reaper has come to town and his name is Jim Harbaugh.

It may sound goofy but I'm not just making this shit up.  JH may be a once in a 100 years coach and I meant that.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11625088/san-francisco-49ers-head-coach-jim-harbaugh-thrives-chaos-difficulty

Read this...here's an excerpt:

A speech Harbaugh delivered to the team a few days later, entitled "2014 1st Team Meeting," explained his approach to battle. He usually writes in a spiral notebook, but this was typed and eight pages long. "I will be your alarm clock and wake you early," he said. "It can be a great temptation to rest on the field and let the opponent have a play without making him pay for every inch. I must hold his pain where it is. Mine does not matter. ... The punishment I inflict, his fatigue, and that he is up against something that he does not comprehend is everything."

It was vintage Harbaugh, sincere and obsessive, inspiring and crazed. And its decisive moment, as Harbaugh described how he fights in the trenches, contained a clue as to why a coach who has won 74.5 percent of his games might just be expendable: "My opponent is going to have to die. But does he have to kill me too? He is killing me. But he has a right to. I have never seen a greater opponent than him.

"I do not care who kills who now."

Who the hell writes like this you would ask...but the scary part is the guy who wrote this is a Super Bowl caliber coach who does nothing but win everywhere he goes....

Seems likely his "what's your deal?" moment comes with Dantonio. Timing is an open question, but hopefully in a little under three weeks.

Then again, there's probably no rule against two "what's your deal?" moments. I'd love to see him pick a fight with Meyer too.

There won't be any "what's your deal" moments with either MSU or OSU.  Neither of those two coaches is silly enough to openly insult Harbaugh or Michigan now.  I would see a possible "what's your deal" moment in a couple of years after we've smoked those guys a few times, and they resort to childish gamesmanship on the field during their losses.

it's not necessarily about putting a bully in his place. Doing it to a bully seems like a plus, but I think it's mostly about his commitment to embracing competition with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind, and putting the other guy on notice that he's a relentless foe. See UMProud's excerpt above as Exhibit A.

They can fear the Defense.  DJ and the guys are getting thses young men to perform in all facets and are benifitiing by a pro style powere attack thet eases the pressure on them.

Not yet fear. They need to start paying attention to us and realize that it's just a matter of time before we become of michigan of old again. And when that happens, yes they will fear us.

Michigan is a sleeping giant and Jim Harbaugh is the energy pill to wake it and up and unleash its wrath on the rest of the world.

I think we're much better than we thought. On defense particularly. Plus, we have probably the best coaching staff (top to bottom) in the big ten. Urban is a great coach, but we have college/NFL experience at every spot. Add to that players who are sick of losing and a team that tackles and plays hard every down.

We should definitely be feared.

Beat MSU or OSU, and abso-friggin-lutely.

Right now, the critics will tell you that Michigan caught a lucky break and met BYU at the right time after they went through a tough four game stretch. Right now, I think the consensus is that Michigan is absolutely on the right track with Harbaugh, but they're still not in the same class as MSU or OSU, and won't be for another few years.

If we take down Sparty or OSU, however, the narrative will change very, very quickly.

Seconded.
Too many on the board last night laughed at Utah's victory at the expense of MSU as if that somehow legitimizes us in the Big Ten. While I love the drama it brings to college football, I could not care less about what that means for Michigan. You can scoff all you want at OSU, MSU, and their strength of schedules and their underwhelming performances thus far, but they are 1 and 2 for a reason: they haven't lost.
To paraphrase Harbaugh from yesterday "let's not pat ourselves on the back just yet."

years results.

I'll give OSU a little more credit but MSU has problems. To say they deserve the #2 ranking over teams who are playing better this year ignores the obvious.

I'm not saying we deserve to be there yet. However there are teams much more deserving of that rating.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. My point was simply that we cannot take them lightly or throw ourselves a party because one of Sparty's win "doesn't look as good." We can try and diagram and mince all of the wins and losses and common opponents, but ultimately we cannot (and will not) be "feared" again in the B1G until we start beating MSU and OSU.

We will be feared, when we return the favor to MSU on 17th and make them have a negative running game and turn Cook into seeing M defensive players everywhere. Then it is game on against OSU. I hope we can do that. Let us keep improving and see what happens.
