It would be far from the most ridiculous go fund me cause. Although to keep it on the DL it should be called "We need $100,000 for Ashanray Arygay to go to Ichiganmay". That would definitely keep the NCAA away
September 25th, 2015 at 5:09 PM ^
We can just use the same one we had for Da'Shawn Hand from 2 years ago...and change the name!

I told him to stay away from that cat.
September 25th, 2015 at 4:42 PM ^
It is more commonly spread through the horrible possum community when arguing over territory.
Seriously keep your cats away from our beloved coon's though, no good can come from it.
September 25th, 2015 at 4:59 PM ^
No. How about we cheer like crazy for the current players?
September 25th, 2015 at 4:38 PM ^
These kinds of organic cheers are much more doable when you don't have RAWK drowning out everything in its wake.
September 25th, 2015 at 4:40 PM ^
My raccoon also has hepatitis, have you read the trends. If you carefully read the limited research it may be an epidemic similar to the coon flu of 1993 which contrary to popular belief was not caused by returning GI's.
September 25th, 2015 at 4:40 PM ^
I bet that will go miles further with him than a chant.
September 25th, 2015 at 5:04 PM ^
Yes, because fans can definitely go win the game, and/or OP is asking the team itself to chant for a recruit...

September 25th, 2015 at 5:42 PM ^
an excuse I've come to respect, with a brand new Welsh Terrier puppy to deal with, I think that giving Rashan special recognition would rate high with Mom.
People show the LOVE tomorrow. We need this guy to rock steady down the line.

Sounds like a good idea!
Was the ever confirmation about Kiffen being dismissed at bama?
September 25th, 2015 at 8:05 PM ^
sex with Nick and kept his job.
September 25th, 2015 at 4:51 PM ^
No. That would be sad and kinda pathetic for many reasons, but the first row that come to mind are
A) he hasn't played a snap at UM so why would we cheer for him?
B) I only cheer for the guys who want to be here, not the guys "thinking about it" or "mulling it over" and particularly not for the guys who by most predictions won't even come here. How stupid would you feel if the whole stadium chants it, and he picks Bama?

Sam Webb seemed to input his AM a chant or something would be a good idea

I think people's criticisms of this - though I admit I'm having to imagine most of them - are based in either over-thinking things or being too cool for school.
Do you check this blog 50 times a day and follow recruting? Then you are not too cool to chant Rashan Gary's name. It just shows him he's wanted. No one will be corrupted by this. Jim Harbaugh would like it.
September 25th, 2015 at 5:17 PM ^
and since I only check this blog 49 times a day and don't follow recruiting at all (aside from this blog's synopses), I will compromise and chant his name from my couch tomorrow...but only if/when he appears on camera
September 25th, 2015 at 5:27 PM ^
i really doubt he would think this is a good idea. a seventeen year old kid that nobody has probably ever met or talked to, and you are going to chant for him? really weird.
September 25th, 2015 at 5:16 PM ^
Well, if Sam Webb thinks it's a good idea then by a means, we should all do exactly as he says (this is /s).
Its not for me though. He knows we want him, pretty much all teams do, he can go where he wants. As a 35+ year old, I refuse to chant the name of an 18 year old who isn't on the team and very well may never be. It sounds astoundingly ridiculous to me. But that's my opinion.

September 25th, 2015 at 5:59 PM ^
I agree 100%. I'm good. The atmosphere in and of itself will be enough to lure him in if he wants to come. Especially if we get the dub. Whoever wants to chant the kid's name...be my guest but as for me? I'm good.

You do realize fans started a Mitch McGary chant while he was visiting right? Boy that turned out bad... Set that entitlement aside until we aren't 1-6 and 1-9 vs MSU and OSU.
September 25th, 2015 at 10:33 PM ^
What CLord said.
It worked for McGary, it's got to be fun for the recruits, it should be fun for the fans, what's not to love?
Some of the attitude in this thread is mind-boggling. You won't cheer for an 18-year-old because you're in your 30s? That's a Dave Brandon move.
September 26th, 2015 at 9:58 AM ^
That...has nothing to do with Dave Brandon. At all. DB was writing thinly veiled love letters to Jabrill when he was afraid he'd decommit for christsakes.

No man is more important than The Team. No coach is more important than The Team. The Team, The Team, The Team
September 25th, 2015 at 4:59 PM ^
Nobody is saying he's more important than the team.
I don't think there is anything wrong about making a recruit feel welcome and wanted. They call it recruiting for a reason.
