Stadium intro video

Submitted by Banister on

Has anyone posted the intro video that was played at the stadium yesterday? Haven't found this anywhere yet, appologies if I've missed it posted somewhere else. I thought it was better than they have been in recent years, especially with James Earl Jones doing the voice over.

What did you guys think of it?

It was clearly the second-best intro video UM has ever made (the best being the first UTL featuring old UM/ND clips and Kanye's "All of the Lights"). James Earl Jones was awesome to hear in yesterday's!

A very close second to Braylon-fest vs. MSU. I was at both, loved both...

One thing you have to say, and JUB did in Endzone, one thing Brandon got right was the night game.

Something about comebacks under the lights that make it amazing.

Was too busy trying to dump extra tickets. Could not give them away, I don't understand why? Was at the corner of the high school just asking 15 bucks.

I took a major hit on my tickets.  I had 'em up for sale on Stubhub since the beginning of August and just had no movement on them.  I finally did get them sold last Thursday for about 1/2 off, which I'll take given that they were going to be worthless in less than 48 hours, but I was hoping that Harbaugh's home opener would have at least allowed me to get face value.

We used to use a compnay called Old Hat Creative and the videos would be available on their website.  We are no longer listed as a client on their webpage.  I don't know if the production has moved in house or to a different company.

My son starts at Oregon State next week.  Was a great family trip - but better for Dad!

it didn't seem quite as "Brand-y" as before, probably because they dropped "This is Michigan" which will now and forever be associated with the culture of entitlement of the Hoke era.

We tailgate and sit at the games with about 30 people. We all loved it and were talking about it at the post-game tailgate. I was surprised my son didn't recognize Darth Vader's voice though! haha! I don't think I knew he was an alum.

I missed it - couldn't get though the mass of humanity that they weren't letting through the gate fast enough.  I did see at least four event staff doing absolutely nothing while we were just standing there.

who could please post the video for those of us who bring wives that make us late for everything? I never even got a sniff of said hype video before the game.  I was too busy outside trying to get parked when it was being played would be my guess.

I liked how they emphasized the University as a whole, and incorporated everything that is great about Michigan, including academics, as opposed to just the football team. They included shots of campus, Ann Arbor, famous alumni, Fab Five, Gerald Ford, world leaders visiting, etc. It was a noticeably longer video and had almost every classic Michigan Football moment incorporated. Then they had James Earl Jones say, "This is the best University in the world."

It encapsulated everything that I love about Michigan. I know this video is amazing, because it will trigger some serious Sparty inferiority complex when they visit us on the 17th. I can't wait until I get to see it again.

So not one person can post the video like the op asked? Instead lets talk about the under the lights intro video lol. You guys crack me up. I was at the game yesterday and that intro video was by far the best yet

I loved it, except for the fact that we keep trying to claim Michael Phelps.  He had zero to do with the university except that we brought his coach here, he took a couple of one-off classes not in pursuit of a degree, and hung out at the Jug.

Really grasping there.
