Under armor skils competition
So Devin was in the passing skills portion of the competition and he didn't seem like a gave a damn because all he did was go up there and hit the targets dead center. It's either that or he didn't know that he actually had to hit the numbers. Anyways his release point is much higher and he really looks like he has worked hard on his mechanics. Pretty impressive.

Care to explain what the passing portion was like?

Will there be any other Michigan commits competing in this Under Armour Skills Challenge?

im confused. Is hitting targets dead center now a bad thing?

But I think it's a target with numbers around the perimeter, and if you hit certain numbers you get certain points. Dead center isn't the highest point total.

All they did was run up and throw at a moving target. There are three different targets and three different angles to throw from. There was a picture of the burger king catching a pass with numbers were the ball is supposed to be. Your have to hit the numbers and at the end throw the long toss

He then ran down-field and shook the moving targets out of their jocks...
Ok, I didn't see the skills challenge either.

After seeing the Skills Competition i really hope the Gholston decommit rumors are true.

Is going to be very angry about this sort of target hitting performance.

Maybe I'm the only one, but DAMN was I shocked when Jesse Scroggins walked up to throw- not about his arm, it was average- more like "WHOA USC RECRUITED A BLACK QUARTERBACK??"

Also, I guess you've never heard of Rodney Peete.

You're the only one.

That's not accurate, at least not what they showed on TV at the end of the show. Devin was ahead of only Montana in points. But really, who cares? He was obviously there just to have fun.
It was real nice to see the part when they showed him after he was done with his throws and he said "Go Blue" twice.

I'm pretty sure he got robbed out of 25 points.

I wouldn't expect DG to be too intense. He's there to recruit, have fun and not get hurt. His resume-builder for the NFL is going to be on national television every fall Saturday for the next 4 to 5 years, not that he hit Tacopants in the nads or won a free Whopper.

How is it possible to be on national TV for 5 years? If you're redshirting, you don't play, right?

When they start sending robotic D linemen after these QBs to try to take their heads off, then I'll be concerned with these results. For now it's just for fun, and a way to sell some burgers.

looks like Michigan hit a grand slam with Devin. Can Michigan really afford to red-shirt this player? In the perfect scenario, Tate and Denard get another year to develop and Devin gets a year to learn the offense. Will injuries and the Michigan fan base and allow this to happen?

He's a QB prospect, he's not an all-decade recruit coming in, he's a good player who needs to grow up with coaching. Him going on the field next year will leave you severely disappoint you. Tate is the QB of the near future.

They could have at least went to UA.
