Interesting.  This is the only thread I see on this topic.  Perhaps someone else can point me in the direction of the other posts?  I see nothing on page1 or 2 or the home page about this.

What does this tell us? That Harbaugh makes them nervous. Harbaugh places himself in a rival's presumed area of propriety, refusing to move, demanding a reaction. This is called competitiveness.

I know we've talked about this a lot around here, but I kind of like how it was put here - this is exactly what he has been doing in various ways since he got here and I like that Harbaugh unnerves people around college football. That is what you're supposed to do and he does it so well.

The media loves Harbaugh and Meyer. This year's game will be promoted like a Mayweather fight by the media come November. I mean, its August and everyother day there is a piece on Michigan or Harbaugh. If somehow this year's game has bigten championship implications, ESPN just might make it pay-per-view. Joking. But if this era lives up to the hype and expectations, what a great time to be a Michigan fan.

Harbaugh hates OSU and MSU as much as they hate Michigan.  If anything, Michigan now has the edge in "intangibles" over both schools due to how badly Michigan has performed the last 15 years against OSU and the last seven against MSU.

I am looking forward to the next "Ten Year War," but doubt that Urban will stay in the same place that long.

I hate Meyer a lot, but don't see how anyone can think he won't be at OSU for the next fifteen or so years. OSU is not a stepping stone to the NFL nor is it one to another powerhouse football program. Meyer is also not an NFL coach and he knows it. I think he is perfectly content coaching the rest of his career at OSU. The guy is going to keep winning (unfortunately), but we have our elite coach now, so hopefully we will start to beat them more often than twice in thirteen tries.

Lol at "made up an illness." How could you possibly know anything about his illness? What a bullshit comment. Everytime someone says it.

Harbaugh's insane 49ers owner didn't want him. A bunch of other ones did. He still walked. Or did he flake? It's a stupid argument everytime it appears.

Harbaugh may play down the expectations and how he feels about OSU, but make no mistake: that man harbors a deep-seeded hatred for that school. He will live and breathe this entire year for the sole purpose of taking them down.

"Hudson and Warren are Ohio kids. Hudson tweeted a picture of them in scarlet-and-gray gear from the Woody Hayes building. But they have learned enough about the recruiting game to understand that the best team in the land isn't always the best team for them to land on. "I'd rather be on an up-and-coming team," Hudson says. When Michigan hired Harbaugh, Warren's father cautioned him to keep an open mind. "Think about how many kids it's their dream to go to the NFL," Warren says. "And he knows everybody there."

This is why Michigan can experience a short period of mediocrity and immediately bounce back as if nothing was wrong. Parents concerned about their children realize it is important for them to receive a quality education while on scholarship. Not every college football player that desires to go to the NFL makes it to the NFL but those who come to Michigan will have additional opportunities available to them simply because of their degree.

Not a big fan of touting conference records. Michigan is the team I root for, but I have to admit, it's way more fun to watch Michigan play against and beat great teams.  Late 90s and early 2000s, the BIG was a great conference with weekly brutal tests. It was a lot of fun to watch Michigan play those gauntlets of schedules.  With that, I hope that Meyer continues to do his thing at OSU, Franklin gets things moving with PSU, and I guess Dantonio can hang around. Of course, this comes with the caveat that I still want and expect Michigan to beat these teams every year.

It's a great article, with a Phrase of the Year nominee.  I'm going to run off and try and trademark it!  "Dantonio's Scowl of the Disregarded - now with 100% more hate!"

Full quote is the author describing SMSB, where Thomas Wilcher saunters right past Dantonio to Urban Meyer:

He passes Dantonio, who won the Rose Bowl in 2014 and this Year's Cotton Bowl yet still is drowned out by whatever fuss Michigan happens to make. Dantonio's scowl of the disregarded is deepening. Wilcher keeps walking ...

After a while, there's nothing more to discuss, at least not in Harbaugh's mind. He grabs the arms of his chair. "Yeah," he says, in an exasperated whisper. "Yeah." He lifts himself to his feet. He makes for the door, talking as he goes. "Not to be rude or anything, but I just want to get back to -- see if we can't get better," he says. "I don't know if I'm getting better right now. I don't feel like I'm getting better right now." Harbaugh walks down the hall. He lifts a fist in the air. "Go Blue!"

Simply a man cut from a different cloth.

"I spoke with Meyer," Wilcher says. "I told him, 'I get texts every day calling me a traitor. I went down to your camp and put on Ohio State s---. I'm from Michigan. My kids are from Michigan. You have to be honest if we're going to continue to have a good relationship.'"

I love it.  This is a man who is doing what he has to do because of the position he is in . . . but his heart isn't in it.

Ohio State s--- indeed.

What's the big deal with Harbaugh?  Talk about overhyped, he hasn't coached a college game in a couple years and just recently left the 49ers in an awful position.
