OT-Christmas Gifts
Simple question, if you could have anything for Christmas (somewhat realistically/not invloving Michigan sports) what would it be?
Since I know you are going to post Michigan sports things, my UM sports thing would be Donovan Warren coming back.
Something else would be a full paid trip to anywhere in the world.

A free degree from MIchigan but I could still go but wouldn't have class, I would just get to hang out for 3 more years

All expense paid trip to umpiring school that would somehow not force me out of student loan deferment. I'd so do professional umpire school (I've had several guys who've been and said I'd get picked up easily), but I'd have to take a semester off from school, ending my ability to put off student loans until I graduate. Instead, I've got a few more years to wait, probably making me too old to be a prime candidate for minor leagues and miss the next few seasons that are expected to see quite a few MLB umpires retire and opening up chances for me to go to the show.
I'd also accept Michigan to Omaha for the College World Series.

Not to be that guy or anything, but go for your dreams and all that.

I want to sit, watch a game with you and argue balls and strikes. Just kidding of course, that's pretty sweet and definitely respectable.

I'd like to give Phil Brabbs a cure for his illness.
Best wishes to him and his family over the holidays. I know everyone here is praying for his recovery.

A luxury box for 2010 and beyond...

I'd love it if I could get all my college paid for so I wouldn't be on the verge of dipping into debt.
Michigan-related, I'd like to see all of our sports improve and become dominant forces. This past year or two have killed me emotionally and I'd like to reap what I sowed long ago as a fan.

Personal: A penis reduction. Scoff all you want, but you have no idea what it's like to carry this huge burden.

I would free Plaxico or fire Lou Holtz from ESPN.

I just wish I could free myself from having to see Lou Holtz all the time.
And no, I can't change the channel.

Good luck, if you haven't pulled the trigger yet.
December 24th, 2009 at 11:29 PM ^

December 24th, 2009 at 11:33 PM ^
She's TOTALLY going to say yes!
For the record, I think being proposed to via MGOBLOG would be amazing. 3
December 24th, 2009 at 11:59 PM ^
I thought you were already purposed to in one of these threads??
Im sorry it didn't work out.
Will you marry me? :)
December 25th, 2009 at 6:01 AM ^
Yes! It was the Civil War thread a few weeks back, but actually I did the proposing. (I asked MH20 to marry me and he said yes. SWEET!)
He has this habit of really liking the volleyball players, so I'm not sure where our MGoEngagement stands. Per the thread, however, Tate set us up, and what's more awesome than that?
I'm giving MH20 til the end of Christmas to tell me his volleyball girl days are over; if he doesn't, I'm yours!

Yeah it'd be awesome if Brian would propose to me through the front page. It would be a total dream....
... Shit did I say that out loud?

She said yes. And no, I did not go to Jared.
I had Christmas with her family, and they do all the celebrating on Christmas Eve. After we were done, as we were walking back to the car I got down on one knee and asked "Quieres casarte conmigo?" since she is Guatemalan, and although she doesn't often speak Spanish, her and her family are very proud of their culture and I wanted to show her that I was happy to be a part of it.
Since I know you're all wondering, she is not a wolverine (actually an Illini) but she actually cheered for Michigan when we played Illinois this year, to no avail.
December 25th, 2009 at 5:20 AM ^
Engaged. Congrats man, I hope you and your future wife have a long and happy life together
December 25th, 2009 at 5:57 AM ^
That is SO SWEET! Congratulations to you both! Best Christmas ever!! 3
December 25th, 2009 at 10:02 AM ^
Welcome to the world of engaged men. I owe you an extra plus one for not going to Jared as well...Those damn commercials make me sick, and they should receive no business.
December 25th, 2009 at 12:58 PM ^
I like the timing, it's cool that the Christmas holiday will always have an extra special meaning for you and your family.
December 28th, 2009 at 4:19 PM ^
best wishes to you both
December 28th, 2009 at 8:20 PM ^
Marriage has been very, very good for me and I wish the same to you as well.
But I assume that by posting this here, we are all invited. I'll be eagerly waiting by my mailbox in anticipation of my invitation.
December 24th, 2009 at 9:37 PM ^
Well if I could have anything for Christmas it would be an ITouch but unfortunately I know that's not going to happen.
December 24th, 2009 at 11:21 PM ^
Heh heh heh heh...
EDIT: I don't mean to try to rub it in or anything I'm just excited that I got one :)
December 25th, 2009 at 12:31 AM ^
Not trying to be that guy, but it's not an iTouch. It's an iPod Touch. They are fantastic though... I wasn't planning on buying one, but two years ago I stopped in an Apple store. I got out without buying it the first time, but I went back the next day and picked one up.

A magical fairy dust that, when sprinkled throughout the locker room, prevents torn ACLs, separated shoulders, or injuries of any sort during games. ESPECIALLY during Ohio State week.
