OT-Christmas Gifts

Submitted by maizenblue92 on

Simple question, if you could have anything for Christmas (somewhat realistically/not invloving Michigan sports) what would it be?
Since I know you are going to post Michigan sports things, my UM sports thing would be Donovan Warren coming back.
Something else would be a full paid trip to anywhere in the world.

All expense paid trip to umpiring school that would somehow not force me out of student loan deferment. I'd so do professional umpire school (I've had several guys who've been and said I'd get picked up easily), but I'd have to take a semester off from school, ending my ability to put off student loans until I graduate. Instead, I've got a few more years to wait, probably making me too old to be a prime candidate for minor leagues and miss the next few seasons that are expected to see quite a few MLB umpires retire and opening up chances for me to go to the show.

I'd also accept Michigan to Omaha for the College World Series.

I'd love it if I could get all my college paid for so I wouldn't be on the verge of dipping into debt.

Michigan-related, I'd like to see all of our sports improve and become dominant forces. This past year or two have killed me emotionally and I'd like to reap what I sowed long ago as a fan.

Tons of money? :)

Really though, paying off my loans for the bachelor's I just received and the master's that I will be working on. Or an awesome trip somewhere.

Or a Bugatti Veyron. That'd be nice.

Yes! It was the Civil War thread a few weeks back, but actually I did the proposing. (I asked MH20 to marry me and he said yes. SWEET!)

He has this habit of really liking the volleyball players, so I'm not sure where our MGoEngagement stands. Per the thread, however, Tate set us up, and what's more awesome than that?

I'm giving MH20 til the end of Christmas to tell me his volleyball girl days are over; if he doesn't, I'm yours!

She said yes. And no, I did not go to Jared.

I had Christmas with her family, and they do all the celebrating on Christmas Eve. After we were done, as we were walking back to the car I got down on one knee and asked "Quieres casarte conmigo?" since she is Guatemalan, and although she doesn't often speak Spanish, her and her family are very proud of their culture and I wanted to show her that I was happy to be a part of it.

Since I know you're all wondering, she is not a wolverine (actually an Illini) but she actually cheered for Michigan when we played Illinois this year, to no avail.

Not trying to be that guy, but it's not an iTouch. It's an iPod Touch. They are fantastic though... I wasn't planning on buying one, but two years ago I stopped in an Apple store. I got out without buying it the first time, but I went back the next day and picked one up.

A magical fairy dust that, when sprinkled throughout the locker room, prevents torn ACLs, separated shoulders, or injuries of any sort during games. ESPECIALLY during Ohio State week.
