I didn't hear any booing.
December 22nd, 2009 at 5:57 PM ^
You have to turn the sound on.
But seriously, who boos a kid in this situation? If you don't like his choice of school, go home and disparage him online, like normal people do.

Wow!!! Big turnout for the Crab Bowl!!!

There are none like you said they made some ruffling, obviously no cheers but no boos either just some noise.

...All I heard was J-ooooooo-sh F-ooooooo-urman

If a Great Lakes High School All Star Bowl were held at the Big House, or even Ford Field, and Ricardo Miller announced that he were going to be a Maryland Terp...cheers? Smattering of applause? Perhaps, but likely a handful of good-natured boos as well.
December 22nd, 2009 at 5:58 PM ^
...guess a smattering is all one could expect based on the crowd in the bleachers opposite the camera. Guess a Great Lakes blah blah Bowl may not be such a good idea!
(I know, blizzard and all, but still).

they were saying Fooooerman.

Josh's big sister couldn't say "Josh" when he was born, so she called him "Boo"?
December 22nd, 2009 at 6:12 PM ^
Are you sure they weren't saying Boourns, Boourns?

Means that people are still pretty scared of Mich, knowing that Furman is bringing his mojo to the Bighouse
December 22nd, 2009 at 6:23 PM ^
I heard absolutely no booing, but it didn't sound like many people were there at all and there aren't any fans in the far sideline's bleachers. It just sounded like a bunch of people were yelling random stuff that you can't make out. Not sure what you were hearing, but it couldn't have been booing (or at least not enough to really make out in this video).

not hearing any boooo's...?
December 22nd, 2009 at 6:56 PM ^
It's when they stop booing that you know we're in trouble. Booing is respect. they know UM will be back. If they thought we were going to stay down they would be laughing at Furman instead.
December 22nd, 2009 at 7:50 PM ^
Look at that place. Did the players on the other side of the field boo? What about the dudes next to him? It was like 20 degrees last night with 20 inches of snow on the ground still.
Who cares if they boo? The only ones to have done it would've been Tech fans and you wouldn't expect better out of them.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:14 PM ^
Perhaps the boos are interpretive....if you wish to hear them, you will.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:16 PM ^
...and Michigan is committed to you, Mr. Furman. Congratulations! We all hope that you have an awesome 4 years academically and athletically.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:21 PM ^
They're booing the weather.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:40 PM ^
Sure. And Harbaugh calls people faggots.
December 23rd, 2009 at 1:09 AM ^
I found the wagon. You fell off about 900 yards ago.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:56 PM ^
There are like zero people there, and the game is being played in the background during the announcement. Any noise that was heard (and if there was any, it was very faint) was probably due to what was happening on the field. Very psyched to get the commitment, but it wasn't like he was making his announcement to a sold out Big House.

Jim Zorn walked by?
(Maybe he was interviewing at one of the high schools.)
December 23rd, 2009 at 1:18 AM ^
but cheered at mgoblog!

Even if they did boo, who cares? He is leaving his hometown state to play somewhere else. He's gotta expect some criticism. Hopefully the next time he is booed, it will be because the opposing fans are sick of his stellar play.
