Best Michigan Games of All Time
Hey MGoBlog,
I am putting together a list of the greatest Michigan Games of all time so that I can create a video libray of them so I can watch them and keep from going insane during the offseason. What are the greatest in the history of Michigan football and should be added to the list?
So far the list includes:

2006 vs PSU (the "Holy Shit Alan Branch just killed a man" game)
2011 vs Nebraska (the "Welcome to the B10" game)
2013 vs ND (the "Devin Gardner for Heisman" game)
Pretty much any game from 1997.
Do you remember how great that Denard touchdown pass to Odoms was? At that moment I thought "Man, Borges has created a monster of an offense!"
Then came 2012.
That was an absolute thing of beauty. Right in stride, back of the endzone.
I completely lost it.
That Nebraska game was probably my favorite game in the Big House.
I was a tad drunk and a bit annoying as I'd yell "FUMBLE!" every time a Cornhusker was about to field a punt or kickoff (was only about 8 rows up at the 5 yard line so in my head, he could hear me). Oddly enough, they fumbled 2 or 3 of them. It got to the point where people around me were asking me to keep yelling it after I had stopped given my success rate.
I know, I know . . . Neat-o story bruh.
Glad I wasn't the only one. if I could find a way to apologize to everyone in my section during that game, I would. I showed up just as Denard completed that longish arm punt to Hemingway (?) right in front of me in the southwest corner. Laugh-cried through the whole thing..."BEAT O-HI-O"......Long post-game at the tailgate.....thought we were back.
Oh hell yeah. I second that....
My god that game was so great. We beat the shit out of them.

Definitely one of the best!
The obvious question is: Do they have to be Wins to be best of all time? Can they be a great, back and forth, competitive game that unfortunately did not go our way?

Blowouts count! May not be the most fun to watch but asserting dominance is always a win
The 2006 OSU game was one for the ages. Great game to watch and completely heartbreaking at the end. We should have won that game.
BTN keeps playing it as an OSU classic, but I can't make myself watch it again.

Most painful loss I've had as a Michigan fan. Still not over it. Can't really watch it. If only we'd had better cleats...
I was thinking only wins but i am open to great games we would have required a 5th quarter to win.

The Great Michigan Heartbreaks
'05 The Rose Bowl v Texas, where Michigan just couldn't stop Vince Young.
'15 MSU-- The punting acumen was questionable all game.
'79 Rose Bowl where Charles White fumbled and they gave him the td.
'88 Miami-- Hurricanes scored 17 points with five minutes remaining.
'96? Colorado final play.
The OSU game is ok in my book but it doesn't make or break me. So long as Blue beats ND and USC, when the occasion arises, i.e., win in the Rose Bowl, then it's a great season. Beating Washington St in the Rose Bowl doesn't quite have the appeal of a USC, UCLA, Texas, or even Stanford.
Thence the Rose Bowl where LeRoy Hoard ran over SC and where Wheatley ran over U Dub are the greatest wins in my book, next to that '06 destruction of ND. The '97 destruction of PSU was nice
the game leading up to it wasn't that special, and Michigan should never need last second heroics to beat indiana.

but that was a really fun game to watch. I am pretty sure Brady Quinn was close to tears.
I think Lloyds last game, mentioned above, was one of the most fun games to watch. That offense was amazing that game.
In person game was the 2009 ND game. Wish Tate hadn't flamed out, cause he was a fun player to watch.

My memory fails me but maybe some Mgobloggers can verify: Did UM run the same play before the final Dreisbach to Hayes TD, but it was called back for a penalty or incompletion or something? I seem to remember that for some reason.
All I remember was that fortunately, Tyrone Butterfield dropped a pass, stopping the clock. Had he caught it, he would have been tackled immediately and time would have run out. Not sure if that was the play before the TD pass, but we definitely didn't have enough time to run another play if he caught that pass.
My first game at the Big House.
But I could watch that 1995 OSU game every day and not get tired of seeing it.
2012 northwestern is actually a forgotten game.

I have to admit that psu game in 2005 was one I will remember. We were sitting behind some psu fans that kept yelling we are ... never did I see such a change. Only sound they made was tears. I HAD TEARS OF LAUGHTER!
Remains my favorite game that I've seen in person.
1995 game against UVA (Dreisbach to Hayes), the 1994 game against ND (Remy Hamilton), the 1989 UCLA game (I think Gillette got the winning field goal, the 2009 ND game and the 2010 67-65 win over Illinois.
Honestly the 67-65 is as awful to me as M00N was. I enjoy offense but that game was a joke, trash cans could have tackled better.
that should ever put up 65 points agasint Michigan is the New England Patriots. That game was a disgrace.
