Wow... go USA! Sponsors must've pulled the plug or the investigation is getting real.

Posbang w/e joy everywhere!

Edit:

I believe this is the smoking gun? Or at least a very big part of getting dirt on Sepp. Valcke is Sepp's right hand man.

Exactly.  Those who were hoping for Prince Ali to win the election last week probably aren't familiar with the Jordanian Royal Family's record of corruption.

On the bright side, dude is wealthy enough to not be enticed as much via bribes.

And honestly can you name me families of that caliber of wealth who aren't corrupt or skirt the law unknown to the general public?

Meh.

Americans are not unique in their distaste for diving/simulation.  They are just not as familiar with the game.  It might be more correct to say that diving is why many Americans are turned off by soccer.

And yes, as other commenters have suggested, it happens in basketball and hockey as well.  In fact, it happens in direct relation to how big of an advantage it can potentially give your team.  No matter how much a hockey player feigns injury, he can really only hope for a 2 minute power play.  In basketball, where you can get opposing players ejected, it is much more prevalent.  And of course, in soccer, where penalties are even more severe, it is rampant.  This will not change unless the rules change.

Oh, and here's this...
