Word....

I think He and Rudock are the two wild cards on this team. With Ruduck its can he get the O to just be reliably good...for Peppers its can he push the team from good to great (ala Woodson). If he lives up to his billing as a do it all defensive playmaker, UM has a serious shot at both MSU and OSU this year.

Not suggesting nor expecting Rudock to carry the team...just manage the game and limit turnovers. That alone would have flipped a number of games in UM's favor the last half decade or so.

And it is definitely possible for one player to lift a Defense...if he is put in position to make plays and if he has the mental makeup to drive his teammates. MSU has accomplished tons..but I think a lot of their success over UM has come down to having the mental edge more than flat out more talent. They've basically punked UM into a shell and that was it..game over. For some odd reason UM has had more confidence and played better against the more naturally talented OSU teams than it has MSU. Dantonio wisely red-shirted and developed his guys and as a result MSU has been physically dominant in the trenches over UM teams that were a mess along the lines. Now that UM is finally in the same neighborhood in terms of having guys that are physically mature and has a coach that will not put up with guys going into a shell..I think things are going to be very different bet. these two teams. I'm expecting a physical dog-fight with UM giving as good as it gets.

than Michigan in recent years.  MSU is winning because they're a more talented team than Michigan.

Look at recent MSU NFL draftees:

Trae Waynes CB - 1st round

Jeremy Langford RB - 4th round

Tony Lippett WR/CB - 5th round

Keith Mumphrey WR - 5th round

Darqueze Dennard CB - 1st round

Le'Veon Bell RB - 2nd round

Dion Sims TE - 4th round

Will Gholston DE - 4th round

Jerel Worthy DT - 2nd round

Kirk Cousins QB - 4th round

Keshawn Martin WR/KR/PR - 4th round

Trenton Robinson S - 6th round

BJ Cunningham WR - 6th round

Edwin Baker RB - 7th round

Greg Jones LB - 6th round

There's several MSU players before then got drafted.  That's not counting Conor Cook who is a day 1/2 pick, Jack Conklin who is likely a top 15 pick, Jack Allen who is one of the top C in the draft, Shilque Calhoun who is considerd to be a day 2/3 pick, Lawrence Thomas who is considered a day 2/3 pick.

Compared to Michigan who had 8 players drafted in the same period as MSU listed above.  MSU is a more talented team than Michigan and it shows on the field.

Man, 100 days seems like forever when it comes to waiting for the season to start, although that's probably because I am particularly excited to see this one start. That isn't something I've been able to say with much conviction for a couple years at least. Sadly, I don't get to start the Harbaugh era in person until the second game of the season, but I'll definitely be there via television.

Luckily there is something exciting happening almost every day of June. That takes us down to 65 days, and camp is like 24 days.

So really there's only like, 41 days. It's not that bad.

There are 101 days, but who's counting?

The way the Tigers are treking to the bottom, FB season can't get here soon enough.  About 69 days until fall camp starts.  Now that's a number that can be appreciated.

Any new information (or even rumors) about transfers out or in? What about medical scholarships? Hope Stribling can add a little bulk if he is lifting with Peppers
