My cousin had never been to a Michigan game so I decided to take him, in order to show the glory that is (well, was) Michigan Football. I get tickets once a year from a coworker who had season tickets. As much as we talked football, I figured it was criminal of me not to expose him. he was a student, and didnt really have the funds at the time to do it himself
We were probably about the 10 yard line, corner end zone, Home side. we were down about 10 rows from the exit, so we decided to walk up to the exit and watch the last play from there in order to leave quickly. We were standing right next to 3 psu fans
Pass is up, caught, game over. As our opposing fans are holding their heads in disbelief, we say "Have a safe trip home fellas," and proceed to walk out with the most satisfied and mildly arrogant smiles on our faces you could ever imagine.
My cousin is still appreciative til this day.
An apartment in Downers Grove, IL.
Row 94, section 30(ish). Hard to say really, since everyone moved around so much. Probably the best sporting event I have ever witnessed live. Came with a nice bonus of rubbing it in the noses of all my friends who went home for fall break because they thought we were going to lose. Hah, suckaz.
Somewhere around row 60, section 30ish but like you said, we moved around a bunch.

I left early for both of those games. I am really, really good luck when leaving early...
But I did go to (and stay to the end of) 10 of our 11 wins during the Sugar Bowl run. So maybe I'm just good luck in general?
As you may recall it was hot and windy at kickoff and the temperature dropped fast after dark. Shifts in the weather sometimes give me migraines, and my head was starting to hurt. Plus we were down what, 28-10 after that long TD. I had argued with an MSU fan at halftime when he came to talk trash to the curmudgeonly elderly couple sitting in front of me, who I was surprised to learn were his grandparents (nice family!) and I didn't relish seeing him again after the game was over. I worried that I would end up punching him. So I left.
I heard the crowd noise and some of the announcer comments walking back to my friends' house near Packard and Stadium. I watched the rest of the game with them and their toddler daughter. So at least I got to celebrate with good friends.

In the student section right behind a group of 30 or so PSU fans that were huge assholes to everyone around them the entire time. I can't believe how many M students sold their tickets during fall break; A2 was INFESTED with PSU bros that weekend. They were out on South U and elsewhere picking fights and whatnot the Friday before. Funny how they didn't seem to be around on Saturday night. This is when I lost all respect for PSU, well before the most recent...events.
This and Braylonfest were the two best live moments in sports for me.
That Saturday was one of the biggest party nights that took place while I was at M. I think because it was a generally terrible season to that point and the game ended at night the student body turned it up to 11.

It was the only game my dad and I attended together. He wanted to leave when PSU scored the final time, but I was insistent that I wouldn't miss the end. I remember him and most of our section berating Lloyd for arguing over two measly seconds...
We were in the opposite corner, so I didn't really see how it happened until after the game.
This reminds me that within the next year, someone gave me this cool book on 25 alltime great college football finishes; the best part was an accompanying CD of the radio calls for each set of final moments. This game was in there as pretty much the most recent addition. I wish I hadn't lost that book and CD.
Forgive me fellow mgobloggers, for I have sinned.
That was my freshmen year and due to the school over-selling season tickets to students, they made the overflow seats directly behind that endzone (same area you were). So my freshman year I had 5th row season tickets.
Of course, that year was (in retrospect, ironically) dubbed 'the year of infinite pain' due to how poorly we played. I am that pessimistic fan you know that always prepares for the worst, so at that point in the season disappointment had set in to the degree I didn't care to see us get thrashed by #3 PSU. So... I sold my ticket to a buddy so I could spend the day with my gf.
In summary... my buddies were five rows up in the endzone witnessing one of the better moments in M football history while I was watching on the couch with my gf after dragging her back to the apartment when I saw the 4th quarter score while we were out shopping.
The biggest fan-related regret of my life.

125 Lake Village Dr., 48103. This moment right here started my Michigan fandom. I went outside after the game ended and I could still hear the noise from the stadium. Such a fantastic day.

....and yes, like my section, I went nuts too.
Student Section, other side of the field.
Went crazy after that endzone went crazy.
My friends and I had tickets in the first row of the student section that year, which was neat. The winning touchdown was scored in the far endzone, but afterwards a bunch of players ran over to the student section and celebrated with us. It was pretty awesome, because there was no disconnect between the players and the rest of the students. We were all just fellow Wolverines going crazy after a classic victory. Good times.
She was in the first year of her PhD at UCLA and I was a high school sophomore(?). Watched it at some UCLA bar that is glorified in my eyes because 1) that's where we watched that amazing game, and 2) they served me beer even though I was only 16.
for MSU 2004. Or were you not sitting in those seats for the Braylon game?
Except for when I was a student (1992-95) I have sat on the side opposite the press box, so my perspective is reversed. When watching games on TV I forget that left is north, so my brain places the student section in the wrong corner. So what do I know.
Watching the game with my dad on the couch going absolutely insane.
In my defense, I had an infant, a two year old, and a four year old. I'll be honest with you: much of 2005 is a daze.
