Michigan winning in the Charity Bowl - needs substantially more to force a Wolverine tattoo

Submitted by EastCoast Esq. on

As is custom, Michigan is killing it in the Charity Bowl:

However, we are still well short of forcing an EDSBS writer to get a Wolverine tattoo. While in general I think tattoo bets are rather silly, forcing the issue in the name of a great cause seems less silly.

MICHIGAN DONORS ASSEMBLE!

EDIT: Thank you for the correction.

Correction: Michigan is at 6k, the total is 20k. EDIT: but it doesn't need to be 30k from one school to get the tattoo, just 30k total, and the school with the most gets the tattoo.

Aren't there usually a couple of Slippery Rock representatives? Or was everyone worried that the enticement of a tattoo bet would cause Michigan to lose its spot of glory, so no one went with a non-Michigan choice.

As I recall last year or the year before, Notre Dame and Texas game M a run for its money with some individual big donations. Those are mysteriously absent this year, and I wonder if they are waiting to fire their money cannons at the last minute to pull a victory out from under Michigan.

I donated! And because today is my birthday, and I am myself was refugee, I will match all of today's UM donations (except my own). I'll take the difference between today and tomorrow's totals, subtract what I donated today, and donate in that amount tomorrow. Double your impact by giving today!

You all are a terrifyingly generous bunch. As promised, I've matched yesterday's donations. If Spencer doesn't get a tattoo, it won't be for lack of Michigan effort.
