Jake Rudock to Michigan is Official

Submitted by ryngonzalez on

Officially official, finally:

"I am excited for Jake to get here and compete with the quarterbacks that we already have in the program," assistantJedd Fisch said in the university release. "I've known Jake for a long time, since 2011, and I am excited to be a part of the staff that is now coaching him. I think that Jake brings great maturity and experience to the program. He has 25 starts under his belt in the Big Ten and a winning record of 15-10. All of that, combined with the quarterbacks we currently have in the program and all the skill we are surrounding him with, we are excited about the things that Jake can do for our program."

Seeing as the original nickname was "JMFJ" for Jack Mother F'in Johnson (and not JMFR for Jake Ryan), I think a prior precedent has been set that these nicknames are meant to be passed on.  Your motion to be more creative has been denied.

Amendment 20-10 clearly states that you may have ONE "MF" per team, thus allowing JMFR to be acceptable.

Ruddock would not apply to this as Ryan has already used the football exception.

He also has the same initials so it is especially heinous to call Ruddock JMFR.

Your denial is overruled and you lose.

Signed,

Mr.MFY

Hmm...you make a good argument with the one and done usage per sport.  But as having to come up with unique nickname will cause a great portion of the MGoBlog community unnecessary stress, I suggest we temporily allow redundant usage of the "MF" nickname and adjourn until a suitable replacement nickname can be found.

Rudock is Michigan's 4th incoming transfer from a B1G school. The other three-

1943: Elroy "Crazy Legs" Hirsch from Wisconsin *cough traitor cough*

1944: Howard Yerges from Ohio State

1945: J.T. White from Ohio State

Each of those guys were star players here. Yerges & White were key players on the 1947 National Championship team and all three of them won at least a Big Ten Championship.

Transfers during WWII happened every year due to relocation due to military obligations. During Michigan practices, guys would be yanked at a moments notice to be shipped off to war.

He is.

He also voted against Michigan in the 1973 Rose Bowl vote along with that asshole Burt Smith who played Hockey at Michigan.

He turned his back on Michigan. His vote against Michigan is 10x worse than Burt Smith's vote.

Burt Smith was the AD at a school with a massive inferiority complex.

What's Elroy Hirsch's excuse? Unlike Smith, Hirsch was a star here. On the football team.

but I never consider him, in any way whatsoever, to be a Michigan Wolverine.  He burned us back in '73 with his Rose Bowl vote in favor of the Buckeyes and therefore burned his Michigan card.  Forever.

I'd rather have Ramsey Romano start over Shane Morris. Because a baseball player who walked on in the spring is 100x better than Morris. In fact, anyone who has ever thrown a football in their life is better than Shane Morris.
