OT - Motorhead Monday
Been meaning to do this for a while since we've entered the offseason. While there will be plenty of HARBAUGH!, recruting info (RIP Ace's fingers) and spring game chatter for a while yet, we're now waiting on the Utah game before any of the big 3 sports are playing again. As such, I know we've got quite a few car nerds on the site and I figured a car chat on mondays would be a good way to kick off the week. So in my best Linda Richmond voice I'll give ya a topic -
What's the car that you'd most want to own that you've seen in person? Why?
I've got a couple more questions in mind for future weeks - if you have good ones go ahead and ask em, or tweet me and I'll try to make them a future thread.
I'm thinking about following Michigan baseball and softball as extensively as football/basketball to get me through the next few months. Both teams are doing really well.
This in black:
OK, that picture is fucked up, so here is the link.

Your's isn't.
Also, FYI there are TONS of 996 Turbos that are around $40k now... Someday maybe...
I think...I'm not certain, that there is a joke flying juuuuuust over your head, out or reach from understanding.
I could be wrong, he could have a daugher old enough to drive and acutally has a pink, 4-door Porche.
2015 Acura NSX at the Chicago Auto Show
It's about 30 minutes away. I'll be there in 10.
I had a chance to spin the wheels on a '14 Stingray last week... what an awesome car that is, but its simply not practical as an everyday car.
I'll go with the S550
I'm like a kid in a candy store trying to decide. I like classic muscle cars, but I also enjoy classic restomods. I like when guys can take a classic and modernize it a bit. A few examples:
That black car is something Dominic Torreto would drive.
But I've always wanted a 928. Don't care what year, or color.
Porsche is the best car on Earth.
The Joel Goodsen edition comes with water damage and a hooker
Who's da U-boat captain?
I'm also a big Triumph fanatic

Though I must admit, I wouldn't mind any version of:
a replica of the Shelby Cobras.
I talked to a gentleman there who built a kit replica.
He said it was worth every penny and is as much a blast to drive as you'd expect.
I have been to a number of car shows that feature original Shelbys, Cobras, GTs, etc. Every year, around the first week of June there is a show at th Ford HQ will you will see one of the greatest concentrations of Shelbys on the planet.
Several years back there was an older woman ~75 from Ann Arbor that had a real Cobra. The car was probably worth close to $1,000,000. She was telling me how she hated taking the car out becuase no one knew what she had and idiots at car shows (she mentioned AA Rolling Sculptures) would sit on the car to take pictures...
I love Rolling Sculptures, but goddamn is it a great way to have some irresponsible/uncaring parent let their ice-cream-coated kid's hands wander all over my baby.
Watched it happen to a Ferarri and actually told the kid "what are you doing, the sign says Don't Touch".
No one was happy with me...except the owner, who gave me a knowing look.
Two friends own them, and they are pretty amazing. I'm not a Motorhead, by any stretch of the imagination, but it's the first time I've ever considered shelling out 90K for a car.
Warning - explicit language - and acceleration. Peak Torque at 0RPM is a beautiful thing
Teslas are so pretty. I was very disappointed that they did not have the Model X at the auto show this year. I want to see one!
Too tough of a decision to have to choose simply one car... I'd need different cars for different catagories. Daily Driver- give me a 2015 Audi RS6 Avant (assuming you can sneak one into America.) Classic Muscle- I've always been partial to the 68' Charger RT, Orange body with black hood please. Finally as a supercar/weekend fun car- 2015 Lamborghini Huracan Roadster... or if I wanted to save a boatload of money, 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible.
My next question was "build your dream garage", with 4-5 cars. My daily driver is an RS4 Avant with a manual... i'll save the rest for next week.
Haha I didn't include my SUV and Truck of choice! I'll save those for next week...
"DREAM" daily driver would be the RS4
There's a black Porsche 550 Spyder that's been at the dream cruise the last few years. I'm sure the value is now into the 1/4 million range... I'd be a terrible (great?) owner because I'd just drive it everywhere.
Aside from a Shelby Cobra, a '69 Fastback Mustang, or a Ford GT of *any era*?
Which really is just a (big) upgrade from my current '07 V6 Mustang. Hell, that picture is why I bought the exact one I did.
Dear GOD do I want to try driving one of these on a track, though...
I checked this post expecting to see this...
Me too. Son, I am disappoint.
So, I'll throw in some more fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV6noHEd6XE
1992 Camaro IROC z28.
Is it the metallic black F430 I see racing around town from time to time?
I think he has a white one, too, but that may be someone else. I hope it is.
Probably a 68 ragtop Firebird.
I'll be honest, I came to this topic expecting a discussion/playing of heavy metal. I'm a little let down...
it still is a heavy metal discussion, just not of the music kind.
Just saw Furious 7 over the weekend with my son. It featured a pretty sweet Lykan Hypersport. Apparently the car has the ability to jump from one building to the other in a single bound.
Just living my life a 1/4 mile at a time.
I'm among virtual friends here, right? I've always had a secret thing for the Pontiac Aztek. I know, it's really weird and I'm one of the very few people in the world who thinks that it is a nice looking vehicle. I can't explain it except that something about it is disturbingly appealing to me.
Now, why am I saying that's the car I want here, rather than Porcsches or Bentleys, etc...? Well, it's because I have more of a chance of somehow being able to afford one of those cars someday than ever allowing myself to be caught dead in public in an Aztek.
You want the Aztek so you can keep a low profile with your meth operation.
