If I am not mistaken, Bradley is in Peoria, which happens to be the hometown of Max, of course, so that's actually kind of cool if he does end up there, to be able to play and finish out his eligibility basically right down the street from the house he grew up in. Wherever he ends up, good luck to him - he will definitely be missed here.

i'm surprised he isn't getting a head start in an elite grad school in his field, and balance that with potential playing time.  hell, he could probably get good minutes at northwestern next year.

i get that there is the quirky transfer rule needing a field of study not offered at current school.

One of the two college basketball games I attended this year was Bradley/Indiana State (couldn't turn down the free 3rd row seats). The other was IL/Mich. We live in Peoria so I've see this program struggle quite a bit in the last 9 or so years. They were awful this year, probably why the coach was fired after only 4 years. They didn't even look good in warm ups. I'm sure Max immediately becomes their best player. As was said a few posts up he is from here and I'm sure playing his last season in front of a true home crowd appeals to him. Also not sure what his major is, but Bradley has a really good engineering school. They aren't on par with Michigan (who is??) but it's a pretty solid school all around.

That's why we scheduled them on the road a couple of years ago. Does anyone know if that's still true?

EDIT: Looked it up myself, and rediscovered that Patrick Beilein an assistant for the Jazz.
I'd forgotten about that.

Max might be able to start there and its his hometown.  Lets hope we find a suitable replacement that can help us next year and beyond.

Just saw an article in the Peoria Journal Star that Bradley's basketball team is losing a MINIMUM of 6 players and maybe as many as 9 due to the coaching change. This doesn't include their lone senior who exhausted his eligibility.
